What's wrong with body art?
I would certainly appreciate it if the men on this board (lady lambs can answer too) could explain why body art on females is undesirable by some men.
A few years ago on Match.com, I would see ads by men stating "no body art, no piercings..." I can understand the no piercings request (I take it they were not talking about pierced ears) as piercings can be above the skin and can get caught in clothing, or be taken to the extremes, or cause hygiene issues, etc., but the "no body art" request puzzles me.
Scenario: A guy is walking on a beach and a young lady in a bikini (36-24-36) with a lovely face is walking towards him. He smiles at her; she smiles back. When she passes him, he turns and watches her walk away from behind, as men are wont to do, and then he spots a one inch butterfly tattoo below her shoulder blade. Would the guy then be disgusted because she had a butterfly tattoo below her shoulder blade?
I don't understand the negative attitude. Can someone please explain? I would certainly appreciate some insight.
Thank you.
PS: I can understand a guy preferring not to date someone who is tatooed from head to toe, but I don't understand what is wrong with a small lady bug, or fairy, something like that.

I see nothing wrong with it. In fact I like some of those so called tramp stamps. You know...the cool little design on the lower back. I like those if they are not real big. But something dainty and sweet like a butterfly or something...no problemo.

Thanks for answering so quickly. I came back to add three words I left off.
See, I don't know what a tramp stamp is. And how come it's called a tramp stamp. You mean, a tattoo implying a woman of easy virtue?

I have no idea why it's called that. It's a tattoo on the lower back, like just above the waist line on women. Usually some cool looking design. Seems to be the rage in Alaska.
Here's one of mine, the norseman...sorry about the quality

I feel that they detract from the natural beauty of a woman. A lot of my buddies feel the same way. My bet is that tattoo Removal will be a very lucrative business in the years to come.

I have a tiny little read heart on my rear right hip. I got it during my lunch break one day, my hubby was pretty suprised. He did ask me why I didn't ask him what he thought about it first. Should I have to? It's my a** after all. And it's not like I got a big eagle stamped on my butt. Not to offend anyone that has an eagle stamped on their butt of course.

I knew someone who had one in the same place as yours. I used to put my right hand over it whenever we were "doing paperwork".

I love a well-placed tattoo on a woman. It's an invitation to, ahem, admire the artwork. Honestly, why get one if not to draw attention to where it's placed?
