What does "being close" mean to you? (definition, feelings, different)

How would you define or describe "being close" to someone?...Is it about how often you see and talk to someone? Or is it about "shared memories" and knowing someone really well?

It is not about how often you see someone, it's about how deeply you share and care for one another.
Being close is respecting each other enough to be able to have time apart and still maintain that closeness between you two. Not a day goes by where you don't talk to one another about whatever.

To me, being close to someone means you can trust them and know that you can share your deepest secrets.That they are someone that you can go to when you have a problem.Someone who won't judge you no matter what.

I don't have too many people I'm close to, those few that I AM close to are the ones who I share the most with...and they do the same with me.
I spend a lot of time with my co-workers, but we are not close. Just hanging out with someone a lot doesn't mean "being close" in my definition.
Different body same soul ..when u're happy im happy ..when u're hurt im hurt .. when u're confused i make the expression .. when u're tired i make u feel cozy ..when u're sad, i make u happy .. when u're cryin' i wipe off the tears .. when u're smiling , i smile back .. when u're cold, i give u warmth ..when u're successfull, i celebrate .. when u fail, i give you hope .. while u're ignorant, i be your patience .. thats when u're away im close .. so close that u can see me with your eyes closed ..so close that u can hear my heart beating on touching your heart ..so close that when u talk. u think of me ..so close when u walk, i walk with you as a shadow .. so close that u feel im keeping a watch over you .. obviously for being protective ..not that u can't protect yourself ..just a feeling ! .. i can go on and on and on ..need a breather lol
