Yes. I must be alien...but I think a romantic spot would be such as these:

--the place you first met your SO
--your first house
--where you proposed
--where you got married
--honeymoon spot

There is no "one place" that I'm just going to say is Uber Romantical. Romance is more of an idea than it is a physical place.

Let me throw out an alternative viewpoint. These are places where it is almost impossible to not to be romantic.

That is what it is for me. The place were I married is 4 blocks away. I am in the house (real house). All those spots resonate with me. Yet they are in the same town. The bad thing is she's gone.

The good thing, I am free, young (if 32 is young) and have a future to build new memories.

If I was in Paris without somebody I didn't like, I don't see how it would make me anymore "romantic."

I think of the word sentimental.

Whats romantic will always be subjective, a good thread, I don't know why it has to be turned into a debate.

Because some people need to be tedious.

Well, I'll Be Dat, then.

I'll take a night in an East St. Louis Motel 6, any night, with somebody I love...over Waikiki Beach or Paris, with a stranger. If that makes me boring, then I'm boring.

This is such a personal place to me, it almost feels like getting naked in front of everyone here.

This is Kaneohe Bay on Oahu. Every morning we would watch the sun rise over the water on one side (at the park) and every evening watch it set on the water on our lanai.
