Casual sex and respect can go together hand in hand.
As always it depends on the people involved.
There are people who are married and in relationships where one or both partners have no respect for the other. They either hide it well or just accept it as the normal course for their particular situation.

I am one who prefers the FWB/bootycall/late night tip or sex with no strings attached.
And I have never lost respect for a woman because she agrees to this.
In fact it is quite alluring for her to agree to share physical intimacy without all the attachments
that per some people are supposed to have when it comes to the bedroom.

Nor am I put off by anyone else she may be currently interested in.
And when things end it was known from the beginning that it was to last for as long as we both enjoyed it so its quite easy. And either of us can break it off without having the trouble that emotionally attached people have. this presupposes the lady in question has the will to keep to the terms of the agreement.

Also if one person makes bad choices, there is no obligation to stay and work through it as there may be in a marriage or relationship. Which makes it easier on both parties.
All the pleasure and few of the issues.

Its rather like comparing winning 10 million dollars after taxes in the lottery to earning a total of 10 million from age 15-65 working an average of 50-60 hours a week.

There is a biological need for sex - aka the human sex drive.

There are relaxed social mores regarding sex outside of marriage, outside of a committed relationship. The evolution of sex in the United States has degraded the need for love and deep personal commitment in the name of instant gratification, and birth control.

Sex is better inside a relationship. Oh well. What will our children think?

Didn't say I'm on board with the idea, just explaining what someone gets out of it.

I agree with you, I don't care for the FWB concept. It works for some people I suppose, but many FWB relationships I've witnessed ends up with one party or the other becoming emotionally attached and results the same heartbreak for at least one party as if it were a committed relationship. It all seems ill-advised to me.
