Why are teenage girls so easy these days?
From a mother's point of view watching the behaviour of the girls in our area, what is the deal with how easy girls make themselves for guys? Where have the morals gone to and the self esteem? I'm talking about good students with intact families that go to church, belong to clubs after school and plan on going to college but when it comes to guys, they give it up so easily before even dating and being in a committed relationship! A father I know found a maids costume, handcuffs and other "toys" in the back of his daughters car the other day. Of course the daughter said it didn't belong to her. Just a teenager! Any insight as to what has happened since the days we were teens in the 70's and 80's???

the kids today were raised on MTV and microwave food with no parents. The babysitter was the television and the computer.....thats what happened.

I think the real question is that as long as the teenage girls aren't getting pregnant and making babies and as long as they aren't getting or spreading STD's, are promiscuous girls really a problem? I'm talking societally here, not religiously. Obviously if it's against your religion to have sex before marriage, then it's a problem whether or not you're a teen girl.

This is just one example of why--as long as other people think it's ok, they don't care either.

I really dont see what microwaves and being an orphan has to do with it, but I agree the media and role models play a major role. Humans, just like the lesser animals, mimic what they see in their formative years.
Young girls are exposed to nearly nude, gyrating, promiscuous role models (brittany spears). Sexual freedom is more acceptable than it once was and teen pregnancy isnt viewed with shame.

Aren't teenage boys just as easy? Or are we expecting bad behavior from them?
