You're so full of it. No you weren't. You used it as a historical example. You don't realize this because you simply don't know any better. Either way, it's weird.

I'm not sure about your investment in this subject any way. Clearly, the women you attract are not capable of functioning well enough to support themselves, so you don't have a problem finding one when you cross paths. Why concern yourself with women that would prefer you stay far from reach?

Women that indeed live in a river with piranhas, like your spouses, would probably be better off in a world of your making. But, a majority of us are not like your spouses. It's not an either/or/schizophrenia/Tkramar box scenario for millions of western women.

You asked for an example of what it would be like--and I gave one. Your personal experiences aside, it was not like that for MOST women.

You probably would not remember a time when pregnant schoolteachers had to leave the profession before they "showed".

Trust me--I'm not concerned with women. I'm perfectly happy as a single person. But I do find it amusing when these women can't find the sorts of men they're looking for.

And in my opinion women who don't work ARE lazy unless they have chosen to stay at home and raise their children. Otherwise there is no excuse not to get a job.
They do have a job--taking care of the home. When they work, they neglect that job.

Stop lying. I asked Sanderling what people were doing before WWII and you asked if I ever watched Father knows best. Wth is that? Did Father knows best air before the inception of the boob tube?

I know you're too dense to realize how completely asinine this post is, but I'll step up to show you. Were these school teachers working? Hmmm...hmmmm??? And you wonder why I can't help but to assume that you are trolling. This kind of stupidity is simply not natural.

What women? These women?

You answered with father knows best as if it's a historical account, which is all kinds of screwy and it's been covered. Do you not recall attempting to back out of that a few posts ago?

So, women weren't actually in the workforce because they weren't staying in the workforce because they were pregnant? lol Yea, and you're a real smarty pants.

I'm backing out of nothing. It was based on what life was like for the time it portrayed--women stayed home while the man went out and worked. Yes, it was fiction, but it was based in reality and real situations.

It was the ideal for select peoples just as the cosby show was an ideal. None of it touched on the reality for most folk. All the TV in the world isn't going to change that. TV does not change history no matter how effed up you are.

The fictions of authors are based on the realities of their times. Look at Gulliver's Travels for an example.
