OP...watch and see how many people on here argue that THEY are "stronger" than their biological imperatives.
It should be about 50-50 against what science show to be a fact.

Gibberish!

Science would not exist if all people gave into biological "imperatives". As for saying something is a scientific fact, well... you do not know much about how Science works. Human behavior is very difficult to quantify let alone say anything with the assurance of it being a fact.

"Gibberish?"
Which part?

All animals have biological imperatives.
Seeking food,shelter and reproduction.
There are others...but those are the primaries for the survival of any species.
Where's the "gibberish" in that, sports fan?

The gibberish is in your false mention of Science. Man/woman may have came from the animals in the very distance past but we are thinking creatures today and have been for a long long time. So Sports fans or not, acting like an animal is just that, a act.

I am quite surprised that some people are just now "discovering" this! If you look thru history, it has never realy been "natural" for a man and a woman to only be with 1 person for ever. i have had a tattoo reading 'we are all still animals' for over 12 years refering to this matter and more. Thats not saying its not possible to be with one person for ever! its just not realy part of our genetic make up. i think if you honestly think about it, it just makes sence

Some women in polygamous marriages would vehemently disagree. Having a group of women to look after the children may actually work out better for the children - more supervision by those who know them well and care. This allows all the adults in this relationship to more effectively concentrate on their other important duties.

The problem with polygamy as it is generally practised is that it is coercive of minors and upsets the sex balance. Therefore it is generally the sign historically, of societies that were afflicted by much warfare.

Isnt that the equivalent of day care?

Its sort of uncharted territory no matter how you slice it. How long have we had these huge urban societies? We did not always live in a termite mounds with lights. So where does nature fit in with going with sexual urges in those circumstances including communicable diseases? In a smaller societies monogamy was probably more stable and STDs were isolated. What is natural is really a difficult question. One thing I do know it what what threatens monogamy the most is that short term burst of chemicals that lasts about a year. When that is all there was holding it together, the relationship will dissolve. So what is really natural since we have not really seen this environment before?
