He just can't afford it
If that is what he really wanted he would have worked harder to get it.
I honestly dont think men or women really want to just bed down everyone they can for their entire life. Maybe for a while when your young, you know sewing your wild oats, but once you start to mature your desires change and most want more than sex. They want comittment, security and devotion. And as much as some men talk the talk, I dont think they really have the stamina to keep up with multiple women.

But on the other hand it depends on the guy. His looks, his money, and his status/Power.
To use an EXTREME example, George Clooney who has all 3. He's handsome, rich, has High status in society and powerful in his Profession. It's unrealistic for him to stay monogamous when he has all these beautiful women throwing themselves at him. It's in a mans nature to sleep with a lot of women
But a guy who has none of the 3 it's more reasonable for him because he has far less if not Zero options or opportunity

Not 100% assured, It's just less likely. If your a woman, and you man is highly attractive or he has a lot of money dont be shocked if he cheats. He has a lot of options on the table and it's hard to turn them down.

I don't know if women are more naturally monogamous, it's simply that for a female there is the potential for 9 months of consequences, and that could keep some women from sleeping around, there isn't a 9 month commitment for a man's body to be a vessel for human life, I think if men could get pregnant they might behave differently.

If someone wants to screw around then they shouldn't get married, or if they do they should marry someone who also screws around.

There will come a time in your life, if you live to a ripe old age because you won't be under 55 forever, when you won't be screwing around, you can sit in your rocking chair alone with your memories (if you still have a memory), or you can sit beside someone who you love, respect and took care of you.
