For whatever reason, I have been approached by four gay men in just as many weeks. This is the first time in my life in which I have been approached by men. While I am not homophobic, it makes me sad that they are not women. I think it is related to the fact that I started weightlifting again a couple months ago and gained 30 lbs. And the fact that I have allowed my facial hair to grow.
Has anyone else had an experience like this?
If any straight male thought it was ok to hit me he would be in a hospital in very crtical condition.
At least some good has come out of this. One of the guys that likes me gave me some work to do around his shop, which netted me $60. He is a good guy, though.

I must say, this business of inferring things about people that make posts on this forum can be a bit annoying. I am not gay. I am not looking for validation. I am simply commenting on a new experience for me that I find odd since it has never occurred to me before. I thought it would be interesting to share to see what others thought about it and to see if they experienced anything like it.
Anyway, I think he is a good guy, which is not to say I am attracted to him. I am not homophobic, but I am not inclined towards men.
Ha! I had the exact same things happen to me in public . . . when I had a girlfriend. Sometimes it seems like the best way to attract women is to already have a girlfriend.
Of course, the same doesn't seem to hold true with men. I was once on a date with a girl in downtown Austin, and we walked by the entrance to a gay bar where there was a line snaking around the block. As we walked by, I think I must have been eye-groped by at least 5 guys. I joked to my date that now I knew how she must feel sometimes around straight men!
Well I do have an imaginary girlfriend.
I normally can't tell when a gay guy is looking at me. But sometimes I get that sense that I'm being followed and I turn around see a guy stalking me
"What the hell you want!"
The guy runs off scared.
Now I have some pepper spray for the wierdos.
On my best day, I usually get eye groped, eye raped, eye humped by women.
Just two weeks ago I was walking in the mall to the movie theater and there was a whole line of girls. Their eyes were on me like white on rice. When I passed them, all of a sudden I felt cold. I looked down and I saw that I was naked. I looked behind me and there was my clothes that I was wearing at the line of the girls.
Straight guys cannot be converted. Period. There are however, many straight guys, who have thought about it, to the point of being intrigued. I served six years in the U.S. Navy, and when I tell people at least 30% of us were having encounters they usually don't believe it. For those that did participate, many prefered women. Others would discover they only want to be with another guy from then on.
I would argue with other guys that were in the military who dissagreed with me, and the problem is they were oblivious to the games we played to figure out who was interested, and who was not. Often, it was the guys who talked about woment the most, that were the most interested.
Yeah, I was in the military and had similar experiences.
I would say there are two types of gay men in the military.
1) The service member who knows he's gay and has accepted the fact.
2) The service member who suspects he may like men or knows he's gay, but is too afraid to act on it b/c of Don't Ask, Don't Tell or just out of fear of the stigma of being labeled gay.
I had many experiences with gay men in the Marines. I also heard similar stories from fellow gay Marines of them messing around with married men. I tried to avoid married men b/c of the drama, but it happens more than people would think.
And just a word of advice. I believe the straight guys who are comfortable hanging around gay men, and those who can laugh at a gay man hitting on them without getting offended are more secure in their sexuality. It's the straight guy who gets offended by a pick up line that is usually uncomfortable with themselves. So to the OP, you have nothing to worry about. It just means you are good looking.

I thought it would only mean he was good looking if pretty WOMEN flirted not GAY MEN only.
