LOL. I laugh because my friend I work with and I just had this conversation. He tried telling me that all the couples he's known in the past were never true to their partners. He stated that everyone he'd known had cheated at one time or another. I then reminded him that in both of his marriages, both parties had been guilty and perhaps he was looking through smudged glasses at the world.
I have known plenty of couples who were very loyal to each other and never stepped out on their spouses. I DO however believe that since the age of the internet really taking off with instant messenging and just overall instant access that yes, people can easily stray and if it's already in their makeup to do so, they will ONLY because it's so easy to do something so innocent as sending an email or talking in an instant chat session - I just think a lot of folks who never really ventured before or perhaps led kind of a sheltered life prior to all the easily accessible internet are now going nuts with it. That's not to say everyone is, just some. Plus, sadly, I feel times are changing. No one seems to take commitement serious anymore and I don't know why.
There is no way I could cheat on my hubby, and the situation has presented itself on numerous occasions.
Plus, we have all the same friends and a few of his friends have little crushes on me and would tell me in a heartbeat if he was cheating . Most of my friends are in excellent relationships (as are my parents and my hubbies parents) and cheating is just not that common in my circle of friends and family.
Seriously, I do not think the majority of people cheat. There ARE some honest and decent people out there.
