You're making the assumption that every younger woman with an older man has been purchased. This is often the type of comment that comes from bitter older women in order to belittle this type of relationship..

Neither of them were a great catch. From their own admission, they were physically abusive towards one another. Neither of them were lookers either - and it certainly does not appear that their personalities were made of gold.
She seems like someone who is mentally slow but just smart enough to hook into a desperate ex child star who has really bad emotional issues.
Coleman did not deserve to be used like that but after what the parents did to him he probably had a difficult time just dealing with certain things in general.
so he took what he could get and thought was best for himself at the time in terms of a woman.
