YES YES I know no healthy relationship involves physical violence, but the question is hypothetical.

A few months ago one of my best (male) friends told me he hit a girl in the stomach because she refused to leave his house. He had struggled to get her to leave for hours beforehand until he finally lashed out. I have been uncomfortable around him ever since, but he keeps saying if she can do it, what was I supposed to do? I just want to know more opinions.

For starters it's a false premise on several accounts, one being that you assume you can control her, and the second you assume she doesn't use a weapon.

And then there's the fact that no matter what you do, if she calls the cops YOU are going to jail...even if you walked away. Look up "predominant aggressor" policies for more info. According to many police policies you are now assumed guilty. Welcome to the reality of modern America.

On a personal note, I think Sean Connery's advice was spot on in this regard. "Shometimes a woman needsh a good shmack." When women are getting hysterical and escalating to violence, a little of your own can bring things back down. Just need to be careful and know the laws where you live.

I whistled for a cab and when it came near the license plate said fresh and had dice in the mirror.

The thing is that not only showing her the back of the hand will get you in jail but she can also call the cops on you for whatever reason and say you were violent and you automatically get sent to jail and then questioned. That's just how the law in most, if not all, western countries is to "protect" women.

I have a friend in the office who's brother was sent to jail for something similar. His wife had a disagreement with him and in her anger called the cops and accused him of violence towards her and the children. He was handcuffed and taken to jail just like that. Women know law works in their favor so they use it as a weapon.
