I think online dating can work way better for women than men. Women can search for guys that make lots of money, have a flashy career, etc. And bingo! Score a lavish date and possible marriage with a rich guy and call it a career move. If things go sour on that marriage, she scores big (we know how divorce laws look out for women). As for guys, if you make less than average, its not like women will go "Oh, I will search for the profile of a guy that makes less money" yeah right! No matter how women want to put it, a guy with more money, cars, status, etc. will be way more attractive than your average Joe. I already know 3 women in my office who have scored a relationship with rich men. One of them went for vacation to Australia. All expenses paid by him of course and got proposed with a big ass ring. Another one is going out with a guy with a young doctor and already made the smart move to move into his place. Another one is going out with a guy that started a business and is doing good.

Sure, there may be risks just like anything but if the rewards were not there, no woman would be visiting those sites.

I heard about this site called plentyoffish.com

But, have not used it. So, I can't say if it's any good.

okcupid is not terrible, but i believe onglet is correct in that it skews younger. it also skews towards intelligent and creative types, and i see many profiles there that are well-written and mentally appealing. i am not a big fan of online dating websites in the first place, and this is the only one i'll use.

plenty of fish has more people, but they are a sad lot. "in my free time I like 2 laugh have fun". "U must treat me like a lady." "I aint got time for drama and gamez." ugh. you'll probably get more activity, but the signal to noise ratio isn't favorable.

Oh man do I have stories!! Some I joined with zero information just to look and by the next morning my inbox was bombarded with fake invites from fake bots all begging for me...................if only I would pay the fee to find out who.

I actually made quite a few nice contacts from Harmony. None ever turned out. On Harmony where it asks what the most important physical thing I wish for, I said long long beautiful silky hair. I got more damn hate mail from that. What gives? If you want long hair then stay the hell outta the barber shop. How simple is that? Men hate short hair....period!!

Zoosk is all younger crowd but lots of good looking people on it. Match has a great older crowd. If you ever wondered if a woman can still be drop dead gorgeous who would rate a perfect 10 after 50 you need to look at Match. Lavalife has a nice friendly crowd. I met a few women but none thrilled me beyond great conversation. XXXCupid I won't go into for obvious reasons but it is mostly fake with many fake mails coming your way from bots.

Ashley Madison is pretty good as well and is quite sophisticated. you rate your encounters for all to see in many categories. As a non member you can actually have almost full access to all the bells and whistles. If the one you want to meet is a full member then a you as a non member can use all their privileges. This site is very very very expensive but it's cheaper then hiring a Hooker. Ashley Madison has been featured on several talk shows. If you are fairly good looking you will get your pipes cleaned often. Lastly SinglesNet is not worth the trouble. Seems no one is from your area ever.

Finally, Craigslist is aweful for getting SPAM. Post a personal ad on Craigslist and you will get 3 dozen mails from women saying they want to meet you and they will include a link to a dating web site where they say you can view their real pics. The goal is to make you go to the site but you quickly learn you have to join to look at the pictures. SCAM SPAM SCAM SPAM. Then of course you join but can not make contact unless you pay. DON"T DO IT!!! In addition, when you respond to an ad, most ads are fake and these fake ads have one goal. To collect legit emails to sell to SPAMMERS.
I get spam and regular replies on craiglist

I've tried DateHookup and Zoosk, and have had no success. I'm currently on OKCupid, and so far no dates, although I've talked to or messaged at least one woman on there. I've messaged women I'm interested in that are on these sites, but none of them ever message me back.

Because most of them don't exist. They are bots. They are designed to keep us fools and suckers coming back for more. And maybe just maybe....we might pull out our credit card for that full membership that promises you'll get your pipes cleaned tonight.

That's exactly why after June I will no longer pay for a online dating site, only local telephone dating site

Singlesnet.com is not bad, free to message anyone who is a member. The bad part is if someone views your profile they send you a note saying that person is interested in you.`

Also Yahoo is now going to be Match.com so if you are a member they will refund your money if you request it. Match and Yahoo have worked well for me. POF is not bad either
