It is about all the events leading up to and after the end of this world, and to some the New World

Are you asking for the definition or for prophetic books in the New Testament? The word by definition means (I'm pretty sure) the study of the "end times".

Do you have Google on your Tool Bar? Then just type in - definition of eschatology - You will get more answers than you bargained for.
Yes, it's about the end times.

It means a study of the end times or last things. There is a bit in Isaiah, daniel, Ezekiel, Amos, Zachariah, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and 1 and 2 Thessalonians, a bit in 1 and 2 Timothy, 1 and 2 Peter, Jude, and much in revelation.

Most common is for Christians to use eschatology to refer to near in time things pertaining to the end of mankind in its present condition and its entrance into a new age where many humans are manifestly immortal, though it also refers to distant things when God shall be, "All in all." (1 Cor 15:28) I like to refer to the more distant in time eschatology ("last things") as "teleology" from the Greek word telos or "end."
