If your church used your tithing to pay it's court costs would you be offended?

Was this addressed elsewhere? If so...sorry.

Wow, that is an interesting question Virote! I am suprised there aren't more posts on this one. But then again half the posts I think are interesting don't get a lot of hits ! To each his own!
I think to me it would depend on why they were in court. I would have a hard time if it was for a sex scandal or something like that. If it was because of something frivilous then I would probably be okay with it. Very interesting post.

Yes, it would depend on what they were defending. If it was something I agreed with, sure. If it was something I disagreed with, then I might question it.

I had the suits against the Catholic church in mind, and the millions they'll be shelling out to compensate victims of clergy molestation, but I meant it as a broad question. Thank you for replying

Some churches will say that they're having a collection for a specific thing, but I don't think so.
