I don't get it. I'm not all for the inhalers for myself, but since alcohol is already legal, what exactly are they fighting for here? Seems to me more time and money could be better spent feeding the homeless, or poor children. Basically, a waist of good resources, IMO.

Which is probably exactly why they are fighting them, as you criticized in your earlier post.

Oh, I was kidding Alpha. You don't think it's a bit silly to spend time and energy on something that has little to no affect on them when they good be actually ministering to the poor, doing outreaches to youth, helping the homeless....????

I'm not trying to be rude, just curious. Before you criticize how time and money can be better spent by Christian activists, have you asked yourself what you've done to minister to the poor, reach out to our youth, feed or clothe the homeless?
Sorry, it just bothers me when people try to find fault in a good thing. Especially when Christians are responsible for most of our well known charitable organizations (think Salvation Army, Red Cross, Samaritan's Purse, etc., etc.)

I have to believe that if these folks are Christians than it's quite possible they were convicted to do this. As such, I think it's a bit haughty to criticize another believer for their convictions.
I also believe I saw something about this on the news a few months back and there was a real concern, from a secular element, about these being a bit too easy to obtain by minors.
So, the answer to your questions is, no, I don't it's silly.

Yes, actually, I am directly involved with feeding the poor and reaching out to young families.
Sorry to ruffle your and Alpha's feathers, and I certainly think that these people are probably sincere. (Then again they may not be, for all I know). To me though it is just so inconsequential to the Big Picture. It amounts to an objection that just feels silly to me. I'm not trying to be haughty, but from my perspective it just seems like a waste of good money and time that could be spent doing something else. This is my personal opinion, not the law.
Obviously something like this would be closely regulated, as alcohol and cigarettes currently are. That's why it seems pointless to me.
