Why would satan allow his antichrist son to be born at a predicted time described in the Bible?

Oh, look! It's a five-year-old! How SWEET!
Which is, being interpreted: there is absolutely NOTHING WHATSOEVER on the last five aisles that cannot be done without...it is TIME to GO!

Speaking of Dubai, I happen to be a big fan of architecture and highrises in particular and I've been watching the Burj Dubai being built for months. I think it's going to be a spectacular building and as someone else mentioned I think the UAE is just trying to position themselves as a major vacation destination and business center because their oil revenues are not going to last forever and all that they've got besides oil is sand so they're being very creative. If only other Middle Eastern nations would try to build of their economies instead of fighting.
But back to the antichrist ideas. My main source of information is horror movies like The Omen which are probably not really based on the Bible. The main point of my thoughts were not just about the antichrist but also how this entire scenario could be laid out in the Bible in detail. If satan was a real adversary and this was a real war like World War II for example neither side would be willing to divulge their plans and would make every effort to deceive their enemy. This situation in Revelations sounds like the whole war, if you want to call it that, is actually rigged in God's favor and satan is just being used as a puppet. Doesn't satan even have a chance of winning and if not why even go through the battle in the first place?

Excellent point MG. You've probably been reading my posts long enough to know my general view point, but basically, satan IS being used as a puppet. The battle is real, but from a certain point of view it is not, because the outcome has already been determined. Satan is merely fulfilling what he was created to do, IMO. I'll be flamed by my fellow Christians for saying so, but so be it. It makes much more sense for an omniscient Being to not be surprised by His own creation, doesn't it? Orthodoxy says 2 things--God is all-knowing, but had to come up with Plan B thanks to satan and Adam and Eve thwarting His plans. What kind of sense does that make?
Additionally regarding your last question, it really goes back to the whole Grand Purpose for His creation. The battle is (evidently) a vital part of the entire process God is bringing His creation through. IMO, of course.

jeff, I agree with your last paragraph. It is something we have to go through in God's plan. What I disagree with is the "plan B" comment. There was never a "plan B" - only one plan. God knew what was going to happen from the beginning, hence the reference Jesus was slain since the foundation of the world.
Anyway, back OT, I believe there will be a physical male antichrist. I think he'll come out of the EU (the revived Holy Roman Empire -- the feet and toes of Nebuchadnezzar's statue dream). He'll have a false prophet who will introduce the one-world religion. The antichrist will broker the peace with Israel for a 7 yr period. Halfway through, the peace will be broken, all nations will come against Israel and Jesus' second coming will be at hand. It's all part of the plan -- not a plan B.
