Default What do you consider to be your main strengths and weaknesses??

No, this isn't an interview question! I just confessed on another thread to what I probably struggle with the most as a Christian-anger. What areas would you like most to change? What do you struggle most with? Some things maybe you wouldn't be comfortable sharing on this board. That's understandable. So share something you do feel comfortable revealing.

Conversely, what do you see as an area of strength spiritually... where do you seldom struggle? Come on, don't be overly modest I'm asking! For me,
I would say one of my strengths as a Christian is honesty. Sometimes to a fault.

If you are not religious, you still probably have areas you would like to change or areas you think you're strong. Come on, confession time! Share with us!

Well I don't have test results but I would say that I have many weaknesses. Which one to admit to...

I'll admit this--a love for irreverance. If something is going to tweek the religious right, I'm just giddy about it. There are alot of things underlying this, the most overriding being (IMO) alot of hypocrisy in Christianity. So, when these hypocrisies get pointed out, or better yet, Family Guy lands a zinger that is so spot on and funny that I get tears in my eyes--I know that overall, I need to draw the line somewhere, otherwise I am then being a hypocrite myself. How? Because sometimes--naw, I'd say frequently--this type of humor crosses the line between good-natured ribbing to downright evil, twisted humor that has an underlying tone of hatred. And I shouldn't be laughing at something that is ridiculing something so beautiful as Christ's atoning work.

So, strength? Hmmmm....I guess if I had to pick one of my many, many strengths , I would say a genuine love for mankind, and a heart for the lost. I would also say I'm generally good-natured and easy to get along with, unless I have deemed you a mean or nasty individual. Then, not so much, which is yet another flaw.

My biggest weakness is that I am often wayyyy to passive and tend to let people take advantage of me or walk over me. I hate conflict and I often avoid issues or just don't speak my mind because I don't want to be confrontational.

My strength would definitely be my "gift of gab". I can start a conversation with anyone anywhere. I make friends easily and my friendships are usually long lasting.

Strengths: Leadership, patience, loyalty
Weakness: Tendency to guard my heart too much. And I struggle with trying to control things and not giving it over to the Lord.

Yikes...there's an honest answer for ya.

Hmmmmm...I'm thinking here

Strengths (this is the hard one): I would say honesty and the inability to "lie" and/or cheat or try to do the minimum that I have to at anything. I believe in giving my ALL in whatever it is that I am doing. If for some reason I do not feel like I can do that, I usually avoid the whole situation.
Also, for strengths, I usually have this "gift" for people coming to me and confiding their problems and looking to me for answers. I do my best at this as well, however, I also try to remember this:
"Don't be helpful, be blameless" and that is really hard to do sometimes

Weaknesses: Anger (especially when it comes to INJUSTICE), patience (not my best virtue by any means ) and trying to control things myself instead of seeking God in all things.

"A gray head is a crown of glory; It is found in the way of righteousness." Proverbs 16:31 NASB

So do you feel better now about your gray hair, Montana?
