Intelligent design?
Mycoplasma laboratorium, the name of the "life" form that has been created by the manipulation of DNA has been discussed on a previous thread.
What if this "life" form were to evolve eventually into an advanced intelligent life form. Would it be the result of "Intelligent design"?

To me, 'intelligent design' means that whoever supposedly created us as microbes, took us through billions of years of evolution with the express purpose of turning us into sentient beings with 'souls'.
Where is the 'intelligence' in this insanely long process?

Could be, or the much more likely path was millions of random mutations, naturally selected into humanity over billions of years.

I agree.. Have you heard, satanoid, that there is a belief that it didn't take that long? You might want to check it out. This intelligent designer didn't see any need to make it take that long and decided to create everything instantaneously, over a period of six days, I believe.

It would not be intelligent design. The problem with intelligent design is that it relies on irreducible complexity. There would be no "design" in how this thing evolved.

Yeah, I've heard that joke before... a man, a woman and a snake walk into an apple orchard...
