Today is a great treat for me. I have not actually started working yet, think that will be tomorrow. But I have a nice clean house and the sun is streaming thru the windows. My fountain is now back on and bubbling at me.

No one is here but me, so it is quiet. First time in over a week I have had a quiet home just to myself. HOw wonderful it is!

All my decorations are down, and I have jumped ahead and put out my Spring tablecloth so my dining room is all sunny and pale yellow. Hey, its so warm here why not? Supposed to hit 60 here today. sigh.

ok, back to what you were doing. hope you are having a nice day.

Ooooh...angel, you mean you don't savor the "Christmas afterglow???" I try to keep my Christmas decorations up until it becomes absolutely socially unacceptable to do so anymore!!!

I do envy you not working today (I am!) and having the house to yourself! Sounds great! Especially if it's already clean! It's rainy and cold in Dallas today. We are supposed to see sunshine tomorrow. Christmas day and evening we had gorgeous weather here-about 57- 60 in the daytime and 30-31 at night! (Love those kinda temps!)

Hope everyone had a great Christmas!!!

It is a beautiful sunny day here in my mountains in Eastr Ky..Upper 50's..I am always out the day after Christmas looking for the first sign of spring I already checked..I will let everyone know.at the first "greening" of the willows.I just don't do winter after a couple of days of it..I have most of the decorations down and packed away and cleaned the refrigerator..We don't do New Years Eve around here. H never was much of a late nighter or one to celebrate anything that his church wasn't sponsoring..Most New Years eve I sit up with whichever of the grandkids are here..My mother always called me right after the ball came down in times square..I miss that Even though it has been almost 20 years..

It starts the day OF Christmas and continues until December 6th (which is Epiphany or "the coming of the Wise Men") And it's the 2nd day of Christmas here, and some of ya'll already have your tree & decorations down!!!!! Well, I never...!!!!

LOL Kaykay, if you had seen all the damage done here in the past two days, you would have taken mine down for me..I have dust on the mantles, the tree ornaments, the lamps, the tables, etc..I have chocolate candy and "what's that?" here and there on the floors..I really thought the 12 days of Christmas began on December13th..I thought the 12days after Christmas were for cleaning the house and trying to figure out how to pay for all that celebrating

LOL kaykay. I must admit, I have never taken my tree and decorations down until the weekend AFTER New Year's. But for some reason, I was ready to take them down this year. Remember, I put them up the first week in November!

I got out this afternoon and hit town. Normally, I avoid the day after like the plague, but I had to have a few groceries, had to go get water receipts from the bank, had to take my clothes to the cleaners as I am down to nothing to wear so I decided what the heck, went to Wally World and got my t.v. The grocery isles were not crowded, but the electronics was overflowing. Since I knew what I wanted, I got waited on right away, and they even told me to go ahead and put my groceries up so I could avoid the long lines in the front. I spent about an hour and a half gone then was back at home, how bout that?

So now, I made dear dave a nice dinner of roast chicken, home made potato salad, seasoned green beans and biscuits. Buttering him up so he will install my t.v. now. LOL....

Kaykay, I must admit, having my fountain back so I can sit here from my computer and see it is wonderful. Oh, it started to rain just as I went to pick up my youngest. Tomorrow is supposed to be rainy in the morning then clear out and warm back up in the afternoon, but the weekend is a total wash out.

Blue,DH also goes to bed early and I bring in the new year by myself. My dad always called everyone wishing them a very happy new year and I do this as well, but am so tired of bringing in the new year by myself and am thinking bout having a get together, playing cards and having a blast.

Hello, I was just cruising on the web looking for someone to talk to. I am having such a hard time recently but God has been helping me so much. It's really hard to find someone to talk to and relate too. I have a strong faith in God and believe he talks to and directs me and I used to think that all christians talked to God and could hear him. But that's not true so sometimes I have to watch what I say and that's makes things even harder.
