Well, not too surprising that politics are involved. Whenever belief in God results in conflict it usually has more to do with politics than anything the Creator or his/her prophets has taught.
Religions all suck. Period. |

Why can't christians leave other people alone. If the christian way is such a good way, people will convert on their own with no enticement (frequently followed by abandonment).
I could tell stories about converted villages in several countries. They're not pretty. Last edited by chielgirl; 12-29-2007 at 04:50 AM. |

It just proves a point .... No matter what, if a Christian does something wrong they are no longer 'following Jesus'. However, they're still Christians as far as I'm concerned and still committing typically religious acts of violence.

I've heard these stories and its a real shame. Also, I don't think its fair to blame all of the problems on the Christians since a group of Hindu nationalists (who do not represent true Hinduism) are just as responsible for the violence.
Violence in the name of any faith is a farce. |

It's a Hindu country and culture.
How would people feel if Muslims, Hindu or Buddhist sects started acting in the same way in the US? Wouldn't tolerate it well, would the US christians? Christians try to weasel their way into cultural settings by strange and sometime violent means. It would be nice if they would live by the word of their bible (as difficult as that might be) prior to exporting their belief system to other places. Save their souls first, leave others to find their own way. There's no one who wants to find a christian church lacking for directions. |
