so.... it might help my understanding if you answered the other question too....
what is shown in the picture then?
The 'track' is an example of a 'rille' and it stops at this 'thing' at the end of the 'track'.
I would interpret this as "the thing at the end of the track is actually making the track behind it".
How do you interpret it?

OK, you have told me what you do not see, now try and explain to me what you DO see please. Then I might be able to understand better.
They may not be highways like in the USA, but in my opinion, they are certainly making some of what lunar scientists call 'rilles'.

well, speaking for myself, I see nothing at all out of the ordinary. I see the same surface shots, or facsimile thereof, of moon shots we've been seeing for years. As for any straight lines, tunnel bore or machinery - nope - I see nothin.
I do see what you are pointing out, but I'm guessing if you were physically there up close, that is simply terrain that probably wouldn't look as 'exact' as the linear appearance seen from ridiculously far away. Craters, rubble, terrain. Nothing more. It's not so unusual for many different kinds of orbs - planets, moons, etc. - to have formed with straight delineations of some kind. The very action of gravitational pull & orbital rotation would lead me to believe that. Just a guess.
Just reporting what I see in the photographs. Not yet having been able to visit the moon, I can't say for sure; but I'll get back to you as soon I'm able to gather first hand information.

That is just it - it is ordinary. It is a rille.
Lunar scientists dont know how these various types of rilles are made or why they appear where they do. Some start at a 'crater' and others end in a 'crater' and some have 'craters' dotted along their lengths. Some have even been formed after the crater has formed because you can see how the rille goes up and over the crater rim, and across it.
Yes, it is easy to say that you need to visit the moon to be certain, but most of us mortals are unlikely to go there. However, you DO make assumtions from other photographs of the Moon, so why when someone puts forward another hypothesis like I just have, do you totally discount it?
The distance is a long way from the surface but there are scientists doing research on other planetary bodies from pictures taken this far away and they are publishing their papers in respected journals for peer review. This would suggest that as far as planetary photographs are concerned, 3000km is not an excessive distance from the surface to be able to make assumtions or hypotheses based on these photographs.

Well, OK then - how does gravitational pull and orbital rotation produce straight lines like these?
If you have another explanation for rilles, I am sure the lunar scientists would love to hear it as they have been trying to figure out for years what creates these strange features.
Science is built on hypotheses isn't it? Why is this one so outrageous that you cannot consider it as a valid explanation for some types of rille?

Precise formation mechanisms of rilles have yet to be determined. It is likely that different types formed by different processes. Common features shared by lunar rilles and similar structures on other bodies suggest that common causative mechanisms operate widely in the solar system. Leading theories include lava channels, collapsed lava tubes, near-surface **** intrusion, subsidence of lava-covered basin and crater floors, and tectonic extension.
My bet especially for the larger rilles such as the one I've linked to would be tectonic extension.

Yes. UFO's and ET's are real.
Go to youtube or google "Phil Shneider"
You can also check out some of David Icke's videos on youtube.
Reptilians have been controlling humanity for a long time. They are able to move in and out of our perceivable vision. It sounds like science-fiction but it is real.
Reality as you know it is an illusion. If you went to see The Matrix and it stirred something in you, then, well, then maybe you might want to do some investigating of your own.
Illuminati, New World Order, chemtrails, flouridated water, genetically modified foods, etc.
Don't just discard these things as crazy or a conspiracy until you have at least put 15 minutes into checking some of this stuff out.

ocpaul, with regard to your statements above:
1) I really just said that tongue in cheek, come on now...even a serious discussion can have a wee bit of levity, no?
2) I don't totally discount your hypothesis at all. I'm just sayin what I see. Who knows? You could be right or you could be completely off the mark; as could any of us. Could be anything. Maybe we Earthlings have some uber-top-secret mining mission going on up there. Beats me.
3) Again - beats me. I keep my observations & ponderings firmly in the gray area and believe almost anything is possible more than it is probable. Gravitational pull...orbital rotation; ... ....what about the rings of Saturn?
4) I never used the term outrageous nor did I state it was not a valid explanation. I just simply stated what I do see when I look at that photograph. Which, BTW, even photos nowadays have lost their verifiable cache. Photo shop is 2nd nature to just about anyone with the interest to spend 5 minutes & learn the technique.
ocpaul, I DO believe Earth is not the only planet out there with intelligent life. I believe ours is probably one of the least advanced civilizations in the universe. Why do I believe that? I just do. I have been amazingly close to an enormous UFO and the fact and/or possibility that many people would never believe me doesn't bother me one iota.
I am 100% confident in my perception of what I saw. It was one of the coolest life changing moments I'll probably ever experience. But life is too short for me to take offense at the likelihood of someone else discounting what I saw. Just something to consider when you ask someone to accept your hypotheses.

Yup...I googled him and this is what came up...
Phil Schneider was nothing more than a narcissistic liar and fabricator. The proof of Schneider's lies is in the math. Take Phil's age and his time on various jobs he claimed to do, certainly try and consider time at college for his supposed degrees, which never existed anyway so scratch the college time and you'll see that he would have been 17 years old when he went to work for the government. Phil stated that he worked at Dulce in 1979.
1979 - worked at Dulce
1947 - born
32 - Phils age while at Dulce
-------------------------
1981 - Last job
1947 - born
34 - Age when Phil ceased working (went on SSI)
17 - Years Phil claimed he worked in government
17 - How old he would have been when he went to work in the government. Where are his college years in those 17 years? There aren't any however he claimed to be an Aerospace Engineer, Structural Engineer, Geological Engineer.

I don't think the question is "Why would the government cover up extraterrestrials?" but rather, Why would extraterrestrials cover themselves up?

so as not to tempt humans to sexually assault them.

It is important for anyone that is looking into this information to listen to both sides of the story. Understand "debunking" for what it is. Just listen to him tell his own story. Watch the video. Read the "debunking" info. Do some more reading. Not everyone is going to be able to wake up and see reality for what it is. It's a very hard thing to do and you are protecting yourself on many levels, so that's cool if you don't want to see things as they really are.
