Default Is The Main Purpose Of Religion To Control Behavior?

Maybe not behavior as much as thought.

Default Its all about you

I never pray to GOD or believed in religion although I am a confirmed catholic not by my choice.

My Thoughts ----

GOD is everything and nothing at the same time.

Religion was a good thought but then the greed and power took over.

Becoming closer to GOD is really becoming closer to yourself and your inner soul or energy or whatever you think makes us tick.

Why would anyone believe these fairy tales? I have read better books. It is because without a meaning and a purpose we are lost. We need the question "Why are we really Here?" answered.

How can there be so many religions? I would have thought there would have been one thing that would prove to everyone what is right. That has not come which only makes me believed that nothing is right.

I live by my rules because I believe in myself and the government has enough control over us anyway. If you enjoy going to your religious meetings and giving money or time, then do it. I will never tell someone they are wrong for doing something they want to do and makes them happy.

When you find what you are looking for, you will have found yourself and the question of Why? will no longer need to be answered.

-TS

Catholic and not offended at all. I question my faith. I question the position of the Catholic church, in some cases. Most of all, I question what some of the hypocrites I know are doing showing up regularly to Mass and being dogmatic all week long.

Yes, religion is a form of mind control. We need to make our own interpretations.
