Default More Trivia-What Interests Do You Have Outside Of Posting On The Religion Forum?

I know alot of us spend quite a bit of time on City-Data but I'm wondering what other interests you might have when you're not on the internet. For myself I know that music would be at the top of the list. I'm a guitar player and now have a collection of nine different guitars. I never get tired of listening to music or playing it. Travel is another major interest of mine. I've been to all fifty states and twenty two foreign countries which is one of the reasons I developed another interest and that is photography. I've been into film cameras, small, medium and large format and only recently bought a pretty decent digital camera with interchangeable lenses but I have alot of learning to do with that. I used to have a darkroom set up in my house. It was only for black and white photography but I've always liked that. And do I dare say this last one? I've been interested in evolution and paleontology since I was in my teens but I don't want this to turn into an evolution debate. I have a large number of books on the subject and I'm always reading up on what's happening in that field.
Well I've chattered enough about myself, what interests outside of City-Data do you have?

Does trying to convert people to atheism count? Just kiddin'! I do love to travel. I've been to 39 states, and my goal is to make it to all of 'em before my time is up. I'd also like to see more of Europe. Movies and music (listening, not playing) are some other things I enjoy. Mostly though I love to spend time with my hubby, kids, and critters. We go for hikes a lot and drive to the beach as much as we can.

Nice topic, BTW! It's nice to find out more about posters, other than their beliefs!

Ah well living the life of an 18 yr old isn't easy y'know. I'm a fan of music and though I play the piano, heavy metal is my passion. I've also traveled around the world a bit going to America, France, Belgium, Spain,Portugal, Philippines, Guatemala and off to Canada in the summer. My man made library of books i've bough are 90% mathematics, 9% philosophy and 1% not so interesting non-fiction. The rest of my other time is spend going out with friends or playing video-games(with friends). I also go to the gym and own a bird.

Honestly, i couldn't be any less interesting if i wanted to

I'm also about as un-interesting as the fingerprint smudge that is on my wall. Let's see.... I'm a voracious reader who has basically lost all hope for fiction novels. I now read almost strictly non-fiction but mainly science. I love to travel and immerse myself in culture but I don't get to do it that often. I also like to research aircraft accidents and disasters and what caused them. That's about it. I have no life

Nature and outdoor activities have always been favorites of mine. I've always enjoyed hiking, backpacking, camping, fishing, rafting, bike riding, and ice skating. My family recently finished an exhausting week of volunteering for the Iditarod Sled Dog Race. A natural outgrowth of all that time outdoors has been an interest in photography and travel. Unfortunately, I don't have the resources to travel as often or as extensively as I'd like, and I don't spend nearly the time or effort at photography as I once did. That's something I'd like to rectify.

Living in the frozen north and having access to a grand total of about 20 miles of roads, I don't spend nearly so much time outdoors as I once did. So, I've created quite a library since I've always been passionate about education and reading. In my last location, my family was quite involved in community theater (stage productions).

I'm not big into crafts at all, but I have quite a collection of scrapbooking supplies. One day, I'd like to spend some time creating a few really fantastic memory books for my daughter.

At this season of my life, home and hearth are my focus. I love spending time with my family (outdoors is best!), and I spend a huge amount of time researching topics and materials for homeschooling. I've developed quite an interest in history. When not busy with the homeschooling endeavor, I prefer to focus on my home and enjoy the old fashioned arts of table setting, home decorating (I'm not very good at it), and flower arranging (but I rarely have fresh flowers with which to practice anymore). Finally, I absolutely love spending lots of time with children of all ages, and I'll go out of my way to create fun, memorable experiences for them. I love to plan a really good party!

Freedom, what a wonderful picture.

I love hiking, and being outdoors in general, especially in the woods or up in the mountains. My family is going to the mountains in April for a little vacation. I like being in or on the water, too. I love boats and haven't been on one in ages. Freedom's picture reminded me of that.

I love history of all kinds and have a few periods in particular that I can easily obsess on when given the time to do so. I am very interested in anthropology and in world cultures.

I LOVE to read and I love to write. I write for a living and have a book of my own in mind (historical fiction).

Seasons always interest me, and celebrations of all kinds.

I'm into movies--comedy, historical or horror.

I love to laugh. I joke all day long in one way or another. My kids already have great senses of humor. They love to be out and about and we go for walks or to the park quite frequently.

This is starting to read like an eHarmony profile so I'll just end here for now. It's very cool to hear about everyone!

Another great thread Montana! I enjoy photography, especially photographing birds. So I go to the park as often as I can. I am also trying to find a job in photography or possibly start my own business.
I love to travel to North Carolina Western North Carolina is my favorite place to photography, so many pictures, so little time.

I love to travel. I've slept in all but 4 of the states; I've lived on several continents ...

I dive (usually once a week), snorkel, canoe, hike, read, cook and dabble a little in photography. I used to do quite a bit of white water.

Default Default More Trivia-What Interests Do You Have Outside Of Posting On The Religion Forum?

I ~used~ to be a voracious reader, but those days are long gone. Guess my brain got full. I do a lot of internet surfing and drive by photography.

Now it seems my life has taken a huge turn. I live in a rural setting and find myself content to sit on a chair outside and absorb the tranquility of mother nature for a few minutes here and there, interspersed with frequent naps. I am also a casino junkie and make regular visits to intertribal pow wows. The only constructive activity I have is to till the earth for fresh tomatoes and jalapenos.

I also take walks with my 3 bestest canine buddies, Myla~ german shepherd,MolLeigh~ a yorkie and Maggie, the poodle-mutt to combat the aging process. And my favorite pastime is making bachelor meals that make my house smell good all day.

Pretty boring to most folks. But my younger days have given me cause to feel very relieved to have lived through my craziness. I was very crazy in my younger years. A lot of near death experiences.
