A repeat from last week by Montana
Just Another Religious Forum Trivia Question: How Are You Spending Your Sunday?
I liked this one last week and was hoping to see it as a regular. Montana I hope you don't mind the cut past. It was just was a fun thread.
In the interests of having a little friendly chatter instead of a heated disagreement about some religious issue I'm just wondering how you're going to spend your Sunday.

I liked your post last week and am hoping we will see it repeat. So here are my Sunday plans. This will be a better Sunday than last week. Taxes are finished and gone, have family up for a visit, and looks like the weather will be great all day. Dog and I will start the day with a walk/jog and watch the sun rise over the lake. Wish I did not have to share it with all the houses, but that’s life, and I have learned to share. Than back home shower and wash off the salt, from the de-stress part of my day. I might need to bath the dog too. Wife has a nose like a blood hound and I think it is easier just to bath him than get the “your dog smells bad” lecture. With family here I will make homemade hotcakes. We have some good sausage this week which will go well with an old fashion NC breakfast. It is you basic non heart meal, high fats, high sugars, and high carbs. It is your a heart attack looking for a place to happen. I will leave the vent off so the smell will wake everyone in the house LOL. Make the Starbucks coffee strong enough to walk and let the day unfold. I want to go over to LakeJordan and let the dog run off leash for an hour or so too. We will more than likely go to the fair grounds and walk through the hundreds of flea market shops grab lunch and than say good by to family as they head home at the end of the day. It should be this way every Sunday.

I'm going to put a second coat of paint on the walls of my living room. I've also got a problem with moles digging up areas of my yard so I bought a mole trap and I'm going to try to determine which tunnels are active, set the trap, and hopefully throttle the little varmit and send it to wherever moles go when they die.

If you can find it at your garden shop they have a spray made up of caster beans and it will drive them away without killing them. It could be even better if you don’t like your neighbors as that is where you moles will go LOL. I was also told they are in most cases eating grubs which can cause a lot more damage to your yard than moles.

We( my DH and I) are going to worship God this morning with our brethren . The we will stop on our way home at the local One Stop and eat lunch. In the afternoon I will spend a lot of my time right here... take a nap...spend more time here... then attend evening services.
Also, I will probably spend a little of the afternoon out in our yard, admiring all the lovely new growth and blossoms. It is going to be a lovely day!

"And hopefully throttle the little varmit and send it to wherever moles go when they die!?" --My dear, sweet man: whatever happened to the notion of "all god's creatures, great and small!?"
June is spending the weekend babysitting her friend's 2 year old daughter...It's only day #2, but June is getting a tad weary...Those little ones can really out run, out last an old broad like me...And the parents aren't back until tomorrow! June has tomorrow off -- hope I make it till then!
Gotta run. Life awaits me!
Take gentle care!

Mrs Oakback and I spent yesterday planting our vegetable gardens.
Moles Yikes!! Had a big problem a few years ago, then discovered a neat remedy. It's a little metal windmill that spins on it's axis. Has a little ballbearing in it that bangs around inside. Apparently the moles can't stand the sound or something.
The moles, by and large left the garden.
Both of mine ( have two gardens ) need replacing. As soon as I find the literature, I'll let you know how to get them.
Today?
It's suppose to rain for several days. So no gardening.
Don't know what I'm going to get into yet.
But the list is long.

I read that on average there are only three moles on an acre of land and you don't get a whole bunch of them like you might with other animals. My neighbor's dog got a hold of one of them and apparently ate it so I don't want to use a poison that might hurt the dog. I'll check out the castor bean spray and I'd appreciate any info on those devices that make the noise that moles can't stand. Thanks.

Couldn't find the literature. So went to good ole google.
This is what I've used for several years, and have had great success. Mine are getting corroded, and need replacing.
We've gone "green", and try to stay as organic as possible. The windmills are more effective than any chemical I've tried in the past.
The best remedy are my two rat terriers. But the garden is just out of bounds for them to be able to dig them up, but their able to keep the deer and rabbits scared off.
