Default Reincarnation and Christian Bible

I was going to put this thread on the Christianity subforum, but I thought that it would be a better idea to place it here.

1 Do you believe in reincarnation?
2 Do you believe that the bible mentions reincarnation?

if so why?

1 I believe in reincarnation and karma, why because it makes sense, otherwise why some people are born healthy while others crippled, why some people are born in families that love and care for them, and others in families who forsake them.

2 Reincarnation was taught in the Roman Catholic Church until 553 A.D. when it was voted out (3-2) at the Council of Constantinople.

Gal 4:19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you

Rev 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Some people might quote this verse as the proof against reincarnation

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.

What is the judgement? if you believe in reincarnation, at the end of life you will be judged according to your karma, if your karma is more good than bad, you will enjoy the light and beauty of a higher plane until your soul is attracted back to earth again to burn your remaining karma, if your karma is more bad than good, then you will go to a lower plane for a while until you come back to earth again.

Regards

Yes I believe in reincarnation. I think that each "life" we live we have obligations, or things that we are to teach or learn from each life. In this life I believe that I am here to bring about love and acceptance towards mankind.

Finding the reason or reasons as to why we are here in this present life is key to implementing and fulfilling our life's purpose. For me I know that more will be revealed, but I'm enjoying the learning process in the mean time.

What you said it is crucial my dear friend we should enjoy the process and don't feel anxious about the long road we have ahead.

IMO the best way to find the reasons of why we are here is by our intuition, although we should be wary and strive to mantain a peaceful mind state to avoid confusions.

Love and Lighty!

I do not believe in reincarnation.
I do not believe the Bible mentions the word reincarnation and this was confirmed by an online search through Strong's Concordance KJV.

I believe in transfer of energy, when one dies energy goes elsewhere. It might become a bird, a act, a dog, a worm, or a telephone poll.
If you want to call it reincarnation, so be it

I do believe in reincarnation of the soul/spirit, which is our life energy...but I do not believe our earthly bodies come back to life and then go to a heaven or hell.
