It's not a personal attack. A close minded or narrow minded thinker will say things like "there is only one way to do something, there is only one way to God, ect..." Narrowminded doesn't have to be a bad thing, only if you take it that way.

The OP asks for a Christian perspective, the OP is given a Christian perspective, and now Christians are narrow minded.

Seriously though: No doubt a lot of foul things were done by supposed Christians in the name of Christ in the past. Some still do. But are they truly representative of the Christian Faith? I don't think so.

Translating your example to my faith it would be something like this.

the car is my willpower.

the cliff represent the suffering caused by the 5 hindrances which are

the darkness of unwisdom, self-assertion, lust hate, attachment.

so I choose to use my god given willpower to align it with god's will and be freed from those hindrances and all suffering effectively becoming one with my father forever, following the way, reaching truth and inmortality
