This sounds like Creationist propaganda. For one, who is this individual. Where did you get your information. And even if Mao did teach the Chinese evolution after he came into power, that doesn't magically make it untrue. Evolution is a proven scientific theory. Also, if Mao did teach evolution, it didn't have any demonstrable negative effect on the Chinese people. And your whole cartoon is very misleading. Evolution doesn't lead to state religion, or does away with the soul, god, or the afterlife, it may make the supernatural unnecessary, but it doesn't deny it. There are many religious scientists that accept evolution. Also, no biology teacher teaches any of that information.

Take a look at this ABC news article:
ABC News: Study: 16 Percent of U.S. Science Teachers Are Creationists
About 16% of biology teachers in the US believe the humans was created within the last 10,000 years. And we want science and technology to help the country? The ignorance is amazing. The US is at a point when facts do not mean a thing - be they scientific or political. I just hope the "creationist philosophers" are here to save the children when they grow up as these kids will be unable to compete in global scientific community.

If it's true, then those Chinese were educated and foreward thinking in that aspect. Creationism is a lovely way to explain why were are here, but lacks any common sense or scientific proof. Humans evolved from lower forms of humans, period. We are still evolving.

The misconception that humans evolved from apes is just that, a misconception. If that was the case we would still see apes in the process of evolving into humans because apes are still here. Apes are primates as well as humans but that is where the commonality ends. Humans evolved in one direction while apes evolved in another. While we may have shared a common ancestor a few million years ago, apes are apes, monkeys are monkeys and humans are humans. As for humans being created 10,000 years ago, this doesn't explain the tools found that date back to about 16,000 years in North America, that is unless, there was another intelligent life form that was here that predates humans.
The human species is still evolving, and we'll continue to evolve until something else comes along to replace us.
