Although this question is neither political or controversial, but this is the only place to put it according to the rules
How many here are true born again Christians? Let me see your hands \0/

If what the Baptists say is true,(Once Saved, Always Saved) I would be one.

I am. Being born again means believing that Jesus is God, came as a man in the flesh -but nonetheless fully God, lived a sinless life tempted by all the temptations of the world, maintained his purity through the Holy Spirit and constant walking with the Father through life, performed miracles of healing while on the earth among many others, died on the cross in the most horrific pain and torture to pay the penalty of our sin, which is death, rose on the third day and ascended back into Heaven, defeating death and sin and taking His rightful place on the righthand side of the Father, and all of us who acknowledge we are sinners who cannot in our own power save ourselves by works, but believe that He is the risen God who died in our stead...we're saved. That is called being born again and it changes whom you belong to. Upon believing with your heart that Jesus is the only way to save you from your sins, you belong henceforth to God, not the world and are guaranteed eternal life because Jesus imparts his perfection to us as an unearned gift. I became saved in 1982.
But, I'm not religious at all.

That's a shame that you need such help. You'll be in my thoughts.

But then you say in the "What is your interpretation of what it is to be a Christian":
"There's no reliable outside corroborating evidence that Jesus even existed, much less that his words are accurate."
and then your rude comment to Pittle.
I don't think you are a Christian Amaznjohn. You may have grown up being taken to your Baptist Church on Sundays, but it doesn't sound like you were able to find faith.
You may have gone through the motions, but that's all it sounds like it was. A lot of people who go to church call themselves Christians, but aren't, and, they aren't saved.
Whatever you are... is it necessary to be rude?

Your right, I shouldn't have contributed to this thread. I wasn't trying to be rude, only to make a point that those who contribute everything to God are selling themselves short for their accomplishments. Consider this my last post on this thread, sorry.

Thanks for the post. I think what Pittle means is that she leaves the daily burdens in prayer at Jesus' feet. Those who truly trust in the Lord let Him take our burdens, even small ones in daily life. It's a matter of faith and believing in the redemptive power of what Jesus did on the cross. I don't do it very often unfortunately. I should.
It doesn't mean we don't use our talents and not have accomplishments.

I am a retired Christian, I used to believe all that stuff. I have no problem with people that do, as long as they keep it to themselves
