You have to give 10% of your income before taxes to be a Mormon while your alive.
If your dead, what does it really matter?
My husband used to love to baptize the dead when they went to temple. He got to see how the girls were "developing" at temple. They wear all white and are dunked into water.

It doesn't matter if Mormons think someone is a Mormon. That doesn't make them one.
Some could even think that you are an idiot. That doesn't mean that you really are.
I also feel that if the Mormons want to pray for me, it might help, certainly couldn't hurt. I might even pray for them in return. Who knows for sure, my prayers might be answered while theirs are ignored.

Do you remember the story of The Velveteen Rabbit?
Ya gotta believe to make it real.
(And of course, $$$ from your taxes is a surefire form of "membership")

I wonder how many Mormons would object to being on a list of Satanists if the Satanists did some ritual and added there grandparent to a list that said they were Satanists. To me its akin to slander.

Yes its rather childlike. Some Mormon relations did this after my Dad passed away- and he was an Atheist. I thought about confronting them and seeking to reverse it. But as Dad himself used to say, "If you do not believe in it, why do you care?"

I agree with you about the dead body.
Its respect for the living relatives that I think is being overlooked.
