JERUSALEM — Israel is offering new incentives to attract more American immigrants in response to its steadily declining Jewish majority.

Immigration is at an 18-year-low, and members of Israel's Arab minority are having children at a faster rate than Jews. Some lawmakers are keen to protect Israel's identity as a predominantly Jewish state.

The drop in immigration is of great concern, said Aryeh Eldad, an Israeli parliament member with the National Union Party. "This will no doubt have a negative effect on the demographic balance in the country," he said.

It sounds like a bad joke, but it really happened: A rabbi went from Israel to Peru, converted a group of Native Americans to Judaism, brought them to this country and put them in a settlement, on land taken away from its Palestinian owners. There they receive, as all settlers do, generous government subsidies, paid for with money taken away from thousands of Israelis living below the poverty line. There they can live happily ever after (unless they leave the settlement in an unarmored car, in which case they may be ambushed by the original Palestinian owners.)

What causes a state to bring total strangers from another hemisphere in order to displace the native people, who gave lived there for many centuries, at the price of an eternal bloody conflict? The answer touches the foundations of Israel.

Since the founding of the state, its emissaries have been searching for "Jews". In the former Soviet Union, Jews were discovered either by finding Christians with remote Jewish family connections (the "Jewish grandmother") or by simply forging documents. Nobody knows how many non-Jews were thus brought to Israel by the Jewish Agency and other organizations – at least 200 thousand, perhaps 400 thousand. According to the laws of Israel, they were automatically accorded citizenship.

I am trying to find more specifics of Jews immigrating to the USA but I am only getting book hits. It appears many have done studies on this demographic.

More Jews are leaving Israel than coming into Israel. Of that the majority are retirees meaning they will not breed new natural born Jews. That means the the NATURAL citizens of the area, the Palestinians will out breed them and eventually become the majority.

Without the USA's financial support of Israel, it would quickly become a 3rd world state, they have no viable natural resources to support themselves, hence their aspirations with the help of the USA to create a greater Israel which of course includes Iraq and Iran.

As the god of the USA is OIL, no wonder the USA send their troops to die for their "god".

The only link between Israel and the USA is OIL not any end-time prophesy. Any apocalyptic event that occurs there will be because of OIL and Israel's aspiration of empire.

The Muslims will NEVER give up their 3rd most holy site, the temple mount or dome of the rock, hence they will never be able to "rebuild" any temple.

When the temple was destroyed, the prophesy in Matthew was fulfilled, the scrips I posted which you refuse to address.

The new temple is us, not a building.

BTW did you know that the Falklands has oil reserves ten time greater than the middle east? The USA and UK are complicit in exploiting this but the cost of oil needs to be over $28/barrel to make it cost feasible. (cost to pump oil is $2/barrel)

OIL is a national security issue of the USA as you have so little of it but consume 25% of the worlds total. Without oil, the USA comes to a grinding halt.

Russia owns 40% and has not been in Venezuela just for war games. The new cold war is the OIL wars.

The only way to counter this bull is to post facts but that does not matter with futurists, they just extend the end date when confronted with FACTS.

We are now at 2050 (with Campbell) so by then I will be dead for sure. Even the predictions of Hal Lindsey and Jack van Impe are now at dates beyond their expected life expectancy.

The hottie at the moment is 2012 - loosely linked to the Mayan calender but we still have folk espousing 2008 - 22 days and counting.

I know but I am vehemently opposed to the futurist rubbish as it IMO is NOT biblical.

He will not even show us how Ezekiel suggests what he is espousing so I guess he does not really know - I am not doing his homework.

Even the perceived attack of the USA by Russia is ludicrous and they do not have to even fire a BB gun to sink the USA.

This is why, someone like Barrack Obama will seek peace with many nations as he knows that any war the USA starts they will lose. This in of itself pisses off the religious right as they all believe God is on their side when fighting "teh ebul mooslum"

IF Jesus were to return, He would not come to Israel as He already did that and was rejected - He came for His own and His own received Him not. Coming back for 13 million folk seems a bit implausible.

I have been following and studying this for 20 years and it is all fabricated bunk.

Most folk use the center margins in their bibles which suggest the so called x-refs to Ezekiel and Isaiah and Daniel. Most do not know this was penned by a prisoner serving a life sentence and NOT by some biblical scholar.

Even foot notes in the early Schofield(Sp?) bible were taken as scripture which is where this futuristic babble comes from.

Animal rights in Israel

This is a google search with some interesting articles and court rulings that have already taken place.

Assuming that they did rebuild the temple and entered into the blood bath of animal sacrifice, the one thing most futurists overlook would be the mass media objection and the actions of animal rights activists.

These judgments are all based on animals bred for domestic consumption.

A temple resembling a sick abattoir would certainly have the world up in arms seeing how brutal the said sacrifices were - the bleeding or slow death of animals.

For the religious Jews, kosher practices are carried out of sight of the public eye.

Kosher foods are those that conform to the regulations of Jewish religion. These rules form the main aspect of kashrut.
Reasons for food being non-kosher include the presence of ingredients derived from non-kosher animals or from kosher animals that were not properly slaughtered, a mixture of meat and milk, wine or grape juice (or their derivatives) produced by gentiles, the use of produce from Israel that has not been tithed, or even the use of cooking utensils and machinery which had previously been used for non-kosher food. In this article, there is a practice of bleeding the animal's meat.

In sacrifice, however, the whole purpose is different. There are texts that suggest that certain meats were allowed to be consumed.

It is also ironic that the many Orthodox Jews are anti Zionists and do not recognize Israel.

At the time of Jesus. most animal sacrifices were confined to birds and small animals (see the part of Jesus and the money changers)

Off the top of my head, I think the Romans put an end to the practice of sacrifice of other animals (I need to research this)

It would appear from gospel accounts, that the sacrificial system was an annual event and not daily.
