If everybody truly put others before themselves we would all be dead. And because of this blind altruistic behavior, religion has caused so much death of people. Why?

Why do religious people strap themselves with bombs and kill themselves and others? If they just looked out for themselves and quit trying to 'convert' everyone to their way, the world would have seen a lot less death, rape, child molestation, theft, human sacrifice... ----Human Sacrifice...Right? That's what you say people should do, -sacrifice themselves for others?

You say the monk doesn't use the money for himself.. pretty naive Kerby.
How do you think he travels around the world and eats? I'll say it for you--money given to him.

Here is a concept for you. What if by helping others so much you are really teaching a dependent mind set instead of independence..just like the welfare program.

There is nothing wrong with compassionate giving. But it should be 'sifting' through somebody else. If I want to help, I CAN GIVE IT DIRECTLY, and so could any one else with out the 'great guru'.
