What if you went and paid the parking ticket for me,then came back to me and told me you have paid the fine in full , i would be very grateful.

Well that is the message of the cross paid in full and i am eternally grateful.

But, would I have to kiss your hide every second to make YOU feel good and to measure my standing?

Salvation is a bugaboo.

I've been told that salvation is an actual thing that happens just like that, you become a new creature, many fall to their knees crying, you can often pinpoint the exact moment, etc. And from that moment on you wil change, people can actually see the difference in you, and you will never be the same. But if you don't actually change then maybe you were wrong and wern't really saved at all.
"Getting saved" is the goal. Once that happens you can breath a sigh of relief.
Also, you have to ask for it, and mean it sincerely. Sometimes people aren't sincere in their heart and don't get saved.

And apparently the people who are best at getting saved are kids and teens (gotta be 'childlike'), people who have hit rock bottom. But it's harder for the intellectual types who don't ask with their head and not their heart.

Yea, I don't know what any of that means.

Christian "salvation." Is it REALLY a free gift?
No but wait! If you order a bottle of MagicOff tile cleaner for just $14.95 you'll receive eternal salvation as our gift. Even if you don't like the product you can return it for a full refund but the gift of eternal salvation is yours to keep! Act now and call the 800 number on the screen.

I had to come back in here to laugh at this!

Man, it's like I hear one of those commercials every 15 minutes.
