Does God Still Do Miracles?
I know people have that question in the back of their minds. Does God still do miracles? I know that in the bible, God performed miracles. Jesus healed people without even being in the same area as them. So, my point of this thread is, do you all believe that God still does miracles?
I believe he does, but it takes faith in God for his miracalous power to manifest... There's this 19 year-old college student. He goes to a christian school. One day he walked into a grocery store, and noticed a girl with an hearing aid. The college student was compelled to pray for her. He did, and the girl was able to hear without the use of the hearing aid.
After that, the college student was even more compelled to tell people in the store that if they have any physical handicap to line up in a single-line, because God wants to heal them tonight and right now.
People starting lining up, all with physical problems, and they all were being healed at that very moment.
Needless to say, everyone were stunned by what was taken place in that grocery store...
I also know of people who have had really bad physical conditions, and after being prayed for, and at that moment their conditions went away.
God still does miracles, and if you believe he does, and have stories to share, please do so.

Does God still heal?
Well, I don't know why God doesn't heal amputees or whatever, but I think that most of us Christians have likely had personal experience where we (or someone close to us) DID indeed receive a physical healing that was not explainable by natural means. I would also recommend a book which addresses "what God still does today", and the title is Surprised by the Spirit by Jack Deere.

I am a firm believer in "faith precedes the miracle", and not the other way around. I think the faithful see miracles every day, some more obvious than others, but we have to watch for them. I think the birth of a child is a miracle, but it is such a common occurance that we don't often think of it that way.

I believe God still does miracles, I also believe that their are Prophets of God. Two years ago my dad died, I did'nt know what to do , I started using drugs to hide the pain. I became homeless, My family did'nt want anything to do with me, I was ready to give up. I went to church one day, nobody treated me bad they all welcomed me. They helped me get my life together, I was saved. I believe if wasn't for those kind people and our wonderful almighty God, I would be dead or in prison. I have been clean ever since, I have my family, and I am in college now. I thank god everyday for my second chance at life, and I am forever grateful for my church and their prayers.

God bless you and thank you for sharing your story. Something very similar happened with my son -- only after years of drug abuse. I kept praying for God to change his heart so that he would seek help, so that he could be freed of that horrible life and how that had so deeply affected his precious family. Well...God answered, just not in the way I expected. But He had a better answer! My son was so down and about to lose his family and he stopped by a church one day. He poured out his heart to the minister who was there, received the precious gift of salvation and has been clean ever since that day!
Praise God! To me that absolutely was a miracle!
