define: Evil
Now we all know that what one person deems evil another does not. So, I want to hear what everyone deems as evil? What is your definition?

Many people consider evil to be 'the absence of good', but it goes much deeper than that. Robin Hood, for example, stole from the rich -- but he returned the money to the poor, and he was only stealing from those that stole it in the first place.
'Evil', in my opinion, is not the absence of good, but the presence of apathy. When someone becomes so jaded and cynical that their deeds no longer matter to them, they become apathetic and (in a strange way) dangerous to themselves and to those that interact with them.

The best I can come up with is someone whose trangressing of the Golden rule goes beyond the normal mischief, thoughtlesness and selfishness that is the evolved and acquired instinct of humans, and even beyond the vicious and harsh responses of those who, from fear or dogmatic delusion, feel they need to do to others that which they certainly wouldn't want done to them.selves
It is the actions of those who go beyond that for no real purpose other than pleasure in the feeling or power they get or the satisfaction of causing misery to others.

Evil is a subjective term that has different definition for everyone.

'Evil' and 'love' used to means lots of things to me - they used to be abstract notions.
But now that I'm older I can tell you what evil is = SELFISHNESS
I can tell you what love is too = UNSELFISHNESS
Think about it - you'll see I'm correct.

If you where not selfish, you would go and kill yourself and donate your organs. I don't view all selfishness as evil.

A really easy question to answer:
Anything anti-God is evil.

Exactly the point. That is why I asked what it means to you, and not what it means by legal definition.

I am sorry but I just dont agree with you. I dont believe in God and I am not evil. Many great people do not believe in a god and are better people than most can even dream of being.
I know people that do everything they can to help others, they dont believe in a god, so does that make them evil?
