Those people need to read the book of James. A faith that doesn't produce Christ-like actions is no faith at all.
James 2:
14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
Ephesians 2:8
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from youselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast.
Like I said...the bible is full of it. About 300 direct contradictions in the new testament alone.

No contradiction. We are saved by faith in Christ's redemptive work on the cross (Ephesians 2). However, a faith that doesn't produce Christ-like actions is worthless (James 2).
ETA: Read a little further in Ephesians 2, verse 10 specifically, & you will see these two passages are in alignment.

I've read the stuff at least ten times. I lived a church life for nearly forty years. I'm nearly 76 years old. When it gets to the place where I have nothing to believe in except some ancient god who primitive mankind conjured and connived up over a 200 year period I'll go ahead and end it. Don't have that long left anyway.
Folks who believe in ancient gods are either totally and thoroughly brainwashed or somehow they became so destitute and depressed about something which happened to them that they needed a crutch. I don't!

I guess I was right, cause you changed the subject!
I'll be too busy enjoying myself to worry about those who rejected Christ.
To hell with Christ!! You think every member of your family..all your loved ones are going to be there in heaven with you. It says narrow is the road to salvation and few will find it. Just how is it that all your folks made it?
Matthew 7:13
"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.

The book says Christians are the only ones who will rise up from the grave, float away on a cloud, pass through pearly gates, walk streets paved with gold, have a meal prepared for them by the creator etc. Then I suppose all of you good buddies can watch those who are sceaming and burning for after dinner entertainment. Is that about right?
Yes! Yes! Yes! Oh wait... Oh shoot... I'm not a Christian... Darn it! So I'm NOT going to get to watch the heathens burn... Well crap!
