Your Gods Are Just So... Inadequate!
I'm sitting at my computer looking at this photo taken from the Hubble telescope of two galaxies colliding 68 million years ago and I'm thinking, how picayune are these gods of man when compared to the size, breath and complexity of the universe.
I ask myself, how can this god of the Jews, Christians and Muslims be taken seriously when their god's greatest achievement is the creation of a absolutely insignificant creature, on one small insignificant planet, one of eight planets in an galaxy that might have as many as 400 billion solar systems! That's 400 billion solar systems in a universe that may contain as many as 125 billion galaxies.
So, when I look at this photograph, I can't help but say that there is one awesome force afoot in the universe. One so amazing that when galaxies collide the result is the random generation of billions of new stars, new solar systems and the planets to populate them.
To assign responsibility for this to some god who might be good at an occasional global flood, a horde of locust, plague or two, or even raising the dead, seems like mere child's play when compared to the what the real forces of nature are capable of producing.

Yes, humans look at the universe as complex and immense. But to God Almighty it is simply a work of art. Imagine how easy it is for him to split oceans, raise the dead and cure blindness if he can create the entire cosmos simply by saying let it be!

Agreed. I find it hilarious that people think that someone who created all of this, would come up with such primitive plans and actions that are written in the religious texts.

And you should be happy that in one sense you are being Christlike. You are fulfilling Scripture.
Have a look:
Romans 1:25
Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

And you look at as what....?
That's where you lost me. If I have to use my imagination to explain natural phenomenon in the face of the unimagined scope of the universe... I'll pass, thank you very much.

I don't know about scripture but I do know a few things about dictionaries:
wor·ship (wûrshp)
n.
1.
a. The reverent love and devotion accorded a deity, an idol, or a sacred object.
b. The ceremonies, prayers, or other religious forms by which this love is expressed.

I hate to do this but...

Q 1. Beautiful.
Rhetorical statement rebuttal 1. I must report that the immensity of God is beyond the comprehension of the human heart and mind. Even the fact that he made himself human, let alone the human whom he made himself into, is beyond our full comprehension. Stick with the creation if you don't want to be made to fill humble and powerless.
