Same here. Watching it would be a waste of time.
The American media does not have the courage to tell it like it is about religion. PBS operates on public donations, the vast majority of Americans are christians, so the TV series will have to pat them on their heads.
The Fall Fund Drive is only weeks away.

I've never seen any PBS documentaries "pat someone on the head".

Doesn't cost anyone anything to DVR it, and if they're bored by it they can switch back over to their favorite "reality" show.

I guess you don't watch much television, for there have been hundreds of American TV news broadcasts condemning the Catholic Church for the child abuse crimes.

Probably because they don't see Catholics as 'Christians' and are jumping at the opportunity to sling mud.

I agree, there are just as many pedophiles in other churches, but we hear very little about them on TV news.

The child abuse scandal is about behavior.
Not only that, but TV also reports about Islamist extremists.
I wonder if any American mainstream media would have the courage to point out the foolishness of religion. That the religious in America encourage war, torture, discrimination, selfishness, greed, environmental destruction, etc, etc.

I wish I could watch it but I can't get TV where I live unless I'm willing to cut down some beautiful trees; I'm not but I'm still adjusting.
