The compulsion of those that claim they believe in "nothing" (IE: No God) spending thousands of hours discussing God...in great detail...PROVES that God exists...AND acts upon those people.
It is scientifically impossible (based on the Principle of Scientifically Impossible Weirdness) for that many people, to be that "gone in the head", to spend thousands upon thousands of hours discussing that which they truly believe to be nonexistent. You might find one or two people in the world THAT naturally "whacked"...and even they would expire from Weirditosis in a couple of weeks...but not in the numbers they present in. It's God, through Holy Spirit, causing them to be irresistibly compelled to keep at it...and thus proves the existence of God.

So, there ya go. Scientific Proof.
Lets all just assume that your joking to avoid silliness :-)
This is no less an effect of brainwashing than the fundamentalist position. Science has brainwashed you into believing that there is something called "Universe/Nature" that is completely separate from God. But they have never proved any such thing scientifically. They just assume and PREFER it to assuming and preferring that it is the observable portions of God. There is no way for them to establish that there is a difference between "Universe/Nature" and God, period. It is a PREFERENCE. SO . . . ALL the scientific evidence that exists is evidence about the observable portions of God.
The only "brainwashing" I ever see comes from the religious side.....attacking Science as you keyboard away on a computer, over the internet, speaks volumes.
Science is based on established facts....religion is based on faith. Both have their place in society but you seem to have a hatred about Science......how should Science therefore respond to your rhetoric????.
science has been a great help in the destruction of this planet, for without our hard working scientist and engineers we wouldnt have been able to manipulate all our resources in such a short time!!!,now look at us ice caps melting, acres of rainforest's being destroyed bye the minute, oil leeking all over the shop, ozone dissapearing, temperature of the earth rising,,,,o.k. not all science is bad but our techological advancements have done more harm than good IMO!!!!
It is mankind misusing our knowledge out of greed and fear/hate......Science/knowledge are neutral....it is people who use it in negative and/or destructive ways. The sooner we grow up as a species and stop blaming everything else for our problems....the sooner we can address and fix things.....but people prefer to blame technology and each other instead of working together to address our shortcomings.

I'll say this much - it is no less logically or scientifically sound than any other proofs of God put forward.
Simply enough I wanted to emphasize the folly of arguing for scientific refutation of faith, or religious people trying to provide a scientific justification of religion. Both seem equally foolish as both perspective come from a different philosophical route in terms of generation of truth.
Sure. Most mainstream religions have had the "we have scientific proof of god" bred out of them. Call it natural selection, if you will, where religions who claim that they have facts backing them up die off as people realize those facts aren't there. Some younger religions (e.g. Christian fundamentalism) haven't quite figured that out yet but they'll get there sooner or later - or die trying.
If a religion is dumb enough to make claims that it can be tested, it's fair to test them. But if they use the magical god can hide anywhere game that's obviously not going to be all that effective.
It's far more interesting to point out that faith doesn't provide knowledge as there's no way to apply it consistently. If you think faith is valid, then you must accept that both Muslims and Christians have the correct faith-based knowledge of the nature of Jesus. Yet they come to opposite conclusions on the question of whether he was a god. It calls into question what point there is in using faith at all when the truth it gives you varies from person to person and seems to depend more on where you were born than how it relates to actual knowledge.
That's what I was talking about - we can't be certain science provides actual knowledge because at some point in the distant future we might possibly learn that it isn't correct. That doesn't mean we can't rule out other approaches which do have well known real problems today.
Ok, so you need evidence that an all powerful God does not exist.
No, we need evidence than an all powerful god does exist. Assuming things exist until they can be proven not to isn't a useful approach to knowledge.

Which, given that God allows free will, but also communicates his message to people, is exactly what you'd expect .
Researchers allow their assistants free will - and we get more accurate information from them than we do from the alleged messengers of god? Seems like you're pointing out how useless these prophets are.

Given than God exists, it would only be reasonable to assume that his motives would be beyond us.
This renders any possibility of knowledge of anything totally void. Anything we think we know could be change in an instant (both now and in the past) for totally unknown reasons. It would make it impossible to claim to know anything since nothing is actually real - it's all just the arbitrary whim of a completely mysterious god. I don't see how this idea helps us at all.

I dont think it has anything to do with "gone in the head" although obviously there a a few that are.
I think it is more about a deep need for something bigger than themselves. Scared of death and really want and need there to be more. Cant imagine us being anything not special.
My deisre to find out why people have these needs has nothing to do with there being any god, just an interest in why people have these needs.
Science has no interest in religion. However, religion began to delve into science, albeit crudely, when scientific discoveries directly conflict with the inerrant, "holy word" of their god. In other words, whenever science has a new discovery that proves something is wrong in the bible, suddenly the "faith masters" want to prove science is wrong.
