I think going to HELL is great. It's what the religions still accomplish eternity about. And besides as a Catholic I firmly believe that there is a reprieve from it at the End of the World. You see reason will teach us that the only eternity that counts understood is the eternity of Heaven: simple Math.: one can count that eternity for What causes what can own no ultimate degradation.

The videos's wierd.

Atheists often believe in the time metaphysics of Hegel. Is it better to determine that they regard that concept valid to the finite end of history, and not a Faith proper, but reconciliation with sin? Essentially I think that pope Benedict has made an edict that atheists are at sin in their very believing form.
News flash ....Limbo was closed down ( condemned? ) long ago..A lot of edicts of the Catholic church have changed including eating no meat on Friday...I am a "fallen" Catholic by the way, and as a thinking being constantly in search of truth and knowledge I am an atheist, and have no reason to justify it.

I was educated in Catholic schools where thinking for oneself was strongly discouraged. Everything was taught to be fact and questioning the so called facts was taboo. If one did ask a question the standard answer was "It's a mystery", but it is true.....Not acceptable to me I'm afraid.

One of the main things that led to my questioning as a young man was the Catholic belief that every baby was born with what was called original sin, and would never be admitted to "heaven" should they die before baptism....That seemed to me the most ridiculous thing the priests and nuns taught me, but there were many other fables that were equally silly.

You are welcome to your beliefs, but please do not threaten me with damnation because I don't share them, nor since I do not believe there is a god your threats are just a show of bad manners...Accept my non belief as I accept your belief.

Personally, it was the whole concept of "my god is better than your god because my book tells me so" that sent me down the atheist path from catholicism.

I'd have to say the good thing about being in a catholic family is that no one really cares, and religion is more of a laize faire kind of thing. Catholics and lutherans are the best imo, I've never had a problem with either sect.

None of those folks died. They experienced hypoxia, probably blended with some drug/alcohol induced effects. Their stories may be true, but their hallucinations are easily explained without resorting to the supernatural.

READ THE BIBLE!!! If you read the bible you wouldn't be saying what your saying about him sitting on his butt. Jesus does it to us, he does it because everyone is not following his commandents and a lot are evil. He put us all here and he can take us all out, including the earth. Its amazing how everyone says "if god loves us, why is there war and suffering" all those people need to read the bible and get the answers your looking for.

Atheists believe the bible is mostly a book of outdated rules, law and myths....No answers for me there.

It's a common misconception that we Catholics believe we are better, and I'm sick to death of hearing it. Stop whining! It's our beliefs, and the protestants believe their own things, and atheists believe theirs. So, we don't agree with each other, or at the very least see eye-to-eye. It's not a good enough reason to suddenly become atheist or hate Catholics and Catholicism.
