I saw this repeatedly yesterday and some of the coverage was just as absurd as the Twitter itself - making it clear that they thought thanking God for help was ok but that it was naughty of him to blame God. Admittedly, the "I want to thank God for..." (fill in the blank - letting me catch that winning pass, win this award, blah, blah, blah) is a pet peeve of mine, anyway

The answer here is obvious.

Before the game, the other team prayed for a win a lot harder than his team did, so God caused him to drop the catch.

God obviously hates the Bills. I mean how could they go to the Superbowl four straight times and lose it four straight times to NFC East teams? Johnson is apparently not a "real" Christian because god doesn't answer his prayers.
