you can gain this knowledge simply through osmosis but your are going to need some really good filters....and of course, time is the best filter.

Knowledge is gained from your parents, your family, friends, media, school, experiences, books and other literature, music, and arts. Maybe some others.

So, somewhere in that mix above is "normal knowledge of life".
