I'm ok with either one.
These are exactly my thoughts as well.

I'm not scared to as a Pagan I am interested in seeing what's on the other side. I don't want to die per say I like this life it might not be perfect but I am enjoying it but not I'm not scared, When it come down to it I would say that Christians are more scared then most. My mom is 70 & has stage 4 cancer & odds are she will pass before summer gets here. She so worried about getting her rewards when she gets to heaven. She needs to believe that she's been a good person & that God will let her into heaven. I've never met anyone of any other religion that's more worried about dying then a Christian. Maybe they aren't so sure when it comes right down to it.

If the neuroscience is right, consciousness is completely dependent on the human brain. So you can't possibly "experience" death. So in a sense, everyone is "immortal."

So we get one finite existence, without having to spend our one precious life worrying about (or preparing for) an unknown afterlife.

Seems like the best of all possible worlds to me.

What sucks is having to spend so much of our one precious life working. Let's ensure that the robotics and AI revolution benefits everyone and not just the top 0.1% of society. But that sounds like "techno socialism" and not capitalism. It's time we Anericans mature to the point where "socialism" is no longer a dirty word. The Cold War is soooo 1980s.

The thing is that I want the new adventure part to be true. I guess this one question every person has to wrap their head around... It certainly is hard.
