Is Anyone Else Feeling A Little Frustrated With Our Conversations?
Maybe not frustrated, but disappointed. I mean, what do we hope to find here? What do we hope to accomplish? Why do you or I or anyone else come in here?
To be honest, when I first came on here I thought great a forum to discuss, learn, and meet others. But then things changed as it seems it always does
I'll tell you what happens, someone posts something and others run in the thread and start saying a bunch of stuff, someone gets offended or hurt, says something back and there you go.
Here's what I don't understand. If you see a thread title and you know it might bug you why go in and start something? I've passed over many threads. Why? I'm not interested or I know I might "get into it with someone." I'm passionate about God, Jesus Christ, my beliefs and what the Bible teaches. I have no problem telling people their wrong (and don't start with the "be more accepting Mark")
acceptance is a subtle form of compromise and I hate compromise. But that's just me. Right? Just like other people have their issues.
Do I think I'm going to convert anyone? No, that's God's job. Do I hope to declare the truth to people? Sure do.
I'm commanded by God to go and tell the truth to everyone even if they don't want to hear it. (Ezekiel 3:11)
Take for example the HP thread. Why go on and on about it. As I said over there some of us hate it some of you like it. You're not going to change those of us that hate it to start liking it's simple as that.
