The Frog Syndrome of Evolution. (mythology, atheism, quote, believers)

So many people are attracted to myths and embrace them with a romance that takes a life of its own. I am reminded of the tale of the princess who kissed a Frog in hopes that it turned into her Prince. And many take this same approach to Religion, Atheism, and things like the theory of evolution. They embrace it as one thing, with the romance of turning it into something it is not. In order to satisfy themselves. They want it to be what it is not.

And this ability in human Consciousness is the birth of things like " Theory." Not that Theory is a thing to avoid, but its the Romance of that Theory which really gives it the Power. Before the research is even complette, the Frog Syndrome often sets in, and turns the Theory into something that its not.

This has happened to Religion, to Government Policys, to Groups which form themselves after a Frog Romance, and start believing in things which really are not so.

And I want to go into that.

Well I am interested in the way human consciousness will embrace illusion, and turn that illusion into as much reality as it can. Like " Santa Claus" for example. There is no such person in reality, but many embrace it with a romantic fever and teach it to their children as if he is real. The Joy of giving gifts and receiving them is fine, but to create myths and give those myths a romantic reality, is of intrest to me.

Because I see this same kind of thing in how we look at Theory.

Hummmmm, which theory (s) The theory of evolution? The theory of genetics? the theory of hydrodynamics? Architectural theory? The theory of cell mytosis?, the theory of thermodynamics?, The theory of gravitation? There are a whole lot of theories out there. If something has made it far enough along to be considered as a "Theory" in main-stream science, it is a really big deal - The theory of Relativity?

I think the Theory of Evolution is a myth that has grown bigger than most others. And it is of extreme intrest that it has made it to science , been studied for so long, and yet still has not been proven. But like many myths, its believers approach it as if it has been proven, the Frog has turned into a Prince, and it is now reality to them. Now they accept it as if its real.

And I see this in Religion also. I see it in Romance. I see it in this recent killings all over the media where the congress woman was shot in the head. The young man who shot her believed in " Conscious Dreaming", or living in his dream world. A world not really real, but made real to him by his own Romance with his desires.

Evolution HAS been proven. It is a fact, with overwhelming evidence backing it up.

The scientific theory of evolution explains how it all works. No mythology or frog to prince fairytales involved (that would be religion).

See this is the thing I am talking about, evolution has not been proven, if so, then by whom and when, and how? Explain that to me. Now if evolution has not been proven, then it remains that you explain to my why you feel it has. That " Feeling", is what intrest me, because it is the Frog Syndrome, all through and through. The human Consciousness turning those things which are not real, into their accepted reality.

Thats a very strong thing!

A very powerful way of thinking, when the mind can turn a Frog into a complettely different thing, and then accept that new thing as reality. Its " Conscious Dreaming", its a heavy nuclear mixture of myth and reality.

It is interesting to me that many who believe in Evolution, believe in the Big Bang Theory, which has never been proven. More of intrest is this: Big Explosions always cause destruction, how then can they cause Life? Explosions rips things apart, they do not create new things.

Scientists do not "believe in" theories. They either accept the body of evidence, reject it, or reserve judgment.

Second, the Big Bang (BBT)WAS NOT AN EXPLOSION. It is very hard to have some sort of meaningful conversation with someone who has not learned the basics of the theories themselves.

Third, there is no connection between TOE (theory of evolution) and BBT beyond that they are both scientific theories, one is not a prerequisite to the other.

And finally, the most ironic part is that this thread seems to be meant to chastise people for accepting evolution when the only people who have an issue with evolution are those who see it as conflicting with their MYTHs aka beliefs.
