I see it this way.

God created us with high sex drives. Why is it so bad. I enjoy porn. I feel watching it is completely healthy.

People say that porn makes men go and rape women. That's as assinine as saying that guns make a person want to go out and shoot an innocent.

In European countries, nudity in a standard magazine at the checkout counter is commonplace. We are just silly here in America. Why the fuss?

Why does God care if I want to watch porn to satisfy a human urge. Is there anything of a sexual nature that He does not consider a sin?

I see nothing wrong with porn. I see a problem with a porn addiction - just as I see a problem with any sort of addiction. All things in moderation!

Which is more bizarre (disturbing?), porn or some parts of the bible?

For example, get a load out of these bible "verses":
Deuteronomy 23:1
No one whose testicles are crushed or whose male organ is cut off shall enter the assembly of the Lord.
Deuteronomy 25:11-12
If two men, a man and his countryman, are struggling together, and the wife of one comes near to deliver her husband from the hand of the one who is striking him, and puts out her hand and seizes his genitals, then you shall cut off her hand; you shall not show pity.
Ezekiel 23:19-20
Yet she increased her prostitution, remembering the days of her youth when she engaged in prostitution in the land of Egypt. She lusted after their genitals – as large as those of donkeys, and their seminal emission was as strong as that of stallions.
Genesis 38:8-10
Then Judah said to Onan, “Go in to your brother’s wife, and perform your duty as a brother-in-law to her, and raise up offspring for your brother.” Onan knew that the offspring would not be his; so when he went in to his brother’s wife, he wasted his seed on the ground in order not to give offspring to his brother. But what he did was displeasing in the sight of the LORD; so He took his life also.

Probably not true. In the past 14,568 years, there is exactly zero evidence that god exists.

If everyone was really honest about their thoughts and/or behavior,we would find we all have some sort of vice, addiction, sin, or whatever you want to call it. It`s just that we put a taboo on certain types of sins and turn a blind eye towards others. That why Jesus said, let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Adultery was a stoning offense that was looked down on more than other sins. But Jesus said it`s all sin.

I find naked women and men, naked people having sex, and idealized physical attributes less pornographic than the death of citizens being killed for the promise of freedom.

Can you define pornography?

A problem with porn, unless we simply mean pictures of naked people posing, is you're basically paying people to have sex. So it's basically prostitution. It's also kind of pitiful to have one's job be a biological function and it often seems to attract pitiful people who use drugs or have histories of sexual abuse.

I'm not judging people more than I'd judge myself. Although I've never bought porn I've watched it on occasion in my life and it's maybe more wrong with me as I know better. Granted I think most men have at some point in their lives. And although it has a certain excitement there is usually something plastic and slightly sad about it. Dead-eyed people, stoned possibly, with plastic bodies going through the motions. It's like fast-food in a way. I don't think it makes men go out and do atrocities, but I suppose it could in some cases give men warped ideas on body image. Even if it doesn't there's something sad about spending hours a day watching porn. I guess due to my beliefs I would say it's sadder than spending hours a day eating McDonald hamburgers.

All that said some kind of pornography is probably going to exist and be used by Christians at least on occasion. Even in the Medieval times they had erotic paintings or drawings or the like to excite people. Although back then prostitutes were probably more common than now so they likely used that more then now.

Weeeeeell...I guess I should weigh in here. Being the resident Christian Porn Guy and all.

Here's the REAL DEAL...just because somebody views something every day, does not equate to an "addiction".
Like hundreds of millions of other people--Every morning I read the paper...every evening I watch the news...and throughout the day look at news headlines on the internet while I'm on the computer...EVERY DAY. And some of the things shown on the news are way worse as far as things that have a negative effect on the human condition than pornographic subjects. But no one says everyone has a "News Addiction".
It should be the same with porn, or anything else...but since some people have hang-ups based on their SUBJECTIVE OPINION of what is moral and what is not...some things people do/view/consume on a regular basis is labeled an "addiction".

See...while porn may not be YOUR "cup of tea" (and FWIW, not mine either)...that is NOT representative of the REALITY of the world.

Pornography is a ONE HUNDRED BIIIIIIIILLION dollar a year business. Do the math...and dig on what that means as to how many people do, IN FACT, want it and enjoy it.

The reason I can be of the opinion that porn is debased and depraved, but still be in the pornography business for the last 26 years, is because I am hip to the REALITY of my viewpoint being nothing more than my OPINION.

The reason the Mainstream Christians view porn as wrong is because they are going by "the rules" set down in the ancient writings that were composed by ignorant, primitive people...and then adulterated and polluted after that. That they think what is written in those writings comprise "The Real Rules" is also nothing but their OPINION.

They want to deny objectivism on the subject of Reading (which has sense to the sensational knowledge, e.g. contingency in Kant's doubtful determination of God's existence), over and against the sensible light of the totality for the Sun.
