Atheists, if you don't believe in God, then...
How do you explain how the earth and the universe was created in the first place? If there was nothing before the universe and space, then how would have something been created if there was nothing? Something can't come out of nothing. It's virtually impossible. There has to be something or someone who created this and us.
Who created God? Where did God come from?

I believe we're all plugged into the Matrix.
You can't disprove it, so that must mean it's true.

Please provide evidence that the universe was ever "created" and hasn't always been in existence in some form or other.

Who, other than Christian fundamentalists says that 'something' has come from 'nothing'.

So you don't think your god created everything from nothing then?

There has to be something or someone who created your god in that case because, as you have already agreed, something can't come from nothing huh?
Over to you pal.

Since I know of no atheists who believe everything came out of nothing, your entire premise is faulty.
I do know of theists who believe that god created everything Moderator cut: edit
Isn't that creating everything out of nothing?

I've never seen a thread like this before!
Are you ready to rumble?
Seeing as how I wasn't really alive when the universe was created, nor was anyone else that I know of - I believe that any solutions people come up with, including God, are merely guesses. Whose to say whose guess is better than anyone else's? I would tend to side with the brilliant scientists who devote their lives to solving these kind of questions - but that's just me. You are free to believe whatever you would like. We all are.

Why do I get the idea that "God" is going to be HIS/HER special version/conceptualization of said god? Of course, they must have been there to see him/it/her doing this creating to know this as fact. When I grow up, I wanna be that special.

Thrugh big bang, science explains the evolution of the universe from almost time= zero till now (14 billion years, give or take). Religion does zilch - excepting goddidit and all with zero verification (note: a warm feeling in one's heart does not count).
Two "origin" related questions for you:
-If something cannot come from nothing, whrere did god come from?
-Assuming there is a god, which religion does he follow? All these contradicting religions cannot be right.

I have no idea how the universe was created and I don't care one bit.
I just accept the universe that I live in and try to enjoy life and be a decent person.
Seriously - that's it.
