The only thing that has been put to rest, are the unbelievers who refuse to consider the evidence. And one might dismiss some of the evidence. Yet it's very hard to dismiss all of it. And I'm still waiting for someone to tell us what kind of animal is being spoken of in Job 40 & 41.
Oh yes. So I was not aware that an Elephant or Hippo had scales for skin. Job 40:15,16,17 His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a closed seal. One is so near to another that no air can come between them. They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.
Verse 21 tells us that out of his breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth. Never saw a Elephant or Hippo do that before.

Oh I read it alright, yet I just point out the most obvious mistake. Job describes a dinosaur and it's skin of scales. Yet science has just uncovered this fact in recent times. The Bible spoke of this reality thousands of years ago.

You do understand that nothing that has ever lived or is currently living is able to breath fire. It is just not possible.

No, you haven't read all of it. You have been sold a bill of goods. The only fact that you've presented is you're basing your faith on shoddy science which in turn, brings in to question your faith as well as your integrity.
It's so sad that in these so called enlightened times, with so much scientific information available to the regular man, that people are still trying to justify an ancient book of myths and pretend it is relevant today.
It amazes me that people can be so pig headed and blind.
I wonder how ancient man would describe a snaking river of lava. With the top of the flow having hardened scales and the mouth of the flow emitting smoke and fire.
