I will also pray. You might talk to your niece with the suggestion that she contact the elders of her church (pastor, teacher, priest, etc) and request that they anoint the baby with oil, and pray for healing.
James 5:14-15
14Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
