I do have to ask: Do most non-Christians actually believe that all Christians believe in the rapture?

The rapture as theorized by Evangelicals is that all the good people in the world are caught up in the clouds with Christ and stay with him for the next seven years. During those seven years, all of the plagues and catastrophes foretold in the Revelation of John happen. Then all the good people return to the earth with Christ -- and that's the second coming.

I do believe in Christ's second coming, but I don't believe it the rest of that scenario. It's yet another case of reading way too much into things. I'm fairly certain that the large majority of Christianity also doesn't believe things will play out that way.

I don't know I thought Jesus said that "no man shall know the day or the hour." This Camping fellow is claiming to know both the day and the hour (6:00 PM local time). Apparently the rapture will go by time zone starting with New Zealand.

I can hardly wait to see what the excuse is when nothing happens.

It's not the first time that Camping predicted the Rapture. Can't recall how they talked their way out of it last time, but the Second Coming and the Rapture failed to occur in 1994 like Camping said it would. None were beamed up to the clouds and Christ failed to show up 7 years later. The bigger question in my mind: Why is anyone taking him seriously this time???

Since, according to Deut.-23:2, I don't have a chance of going "up", I'll probably be going "down" and starting my eternal damnation, roasting in hell, throughout all eternity trials.

See you later....want to party?

They are driving around in a cavalcade of huge, brightly painted, gas guzzling vehicles, to the major cities in the US proclaiming;
"Judgement Day is Here!"

Of course, there's also the billboards,the radio show and You Tube.
